Possibly Triggering - Poem entilted "Deeper"
Hey guys! I'm pretty new here to RYL. This is a poem i wrote a while ago before i started cutting, and i wrote it to my best friend who had been cutting at the time. Comments/reviews/suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Every time that you dive in
It just gets harder for you to leave
You only get yourself in deeper
But you’ll never come out clean
The deeper you dive
The more your scars appear
Your soul is not cleansing
But you cannot seem to hear
As many times as I tell you
This nonsense needs to stop
You just dive in deeper
Is this worse than I had thought?
When you arrive in the deepest of depths
And cannot find your way
When the light will not appear
And you are drowning in your pain
Just thrust out your hand
Before it is too late
And I’ll be there to take it
Together we will be safe.
