So how come that doesn't happen in FAF?

Thanks

It only happens in select forums.

Not sure if it would work in FAF or not.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

It might be a good idea though, if it can work!

nothing can be changed without Harley being here.. which he isnt.

I guess its cos everyones situation is different.. and medical advice cant be given as a general thing cos it can vary from person to person.. and the generic wound care stuff is in the main page thingy theyve got.

wow.. im articulate this evening.

to be fair, with the amount of regulations and restrictions i would say that some cases is quite similar or at least the information a member can supply on the thread is.

and Linda.. i dunno.. that was just my speculation.. like.. people migh have the same problems, but be on different medication and stuff, which would change the advice given..umm..

-waits for a first aid person to come in-

edit: i do think it would be a good idea though, because a lot of wound care questions etc do get repeated as people dont look on the information articles.

We've asked about it in the past, but as has been said, without Harley.....

As a team we can see the good and the bad. On one hand it would allow people to find similar threads and see what advice has already been posted and see if that answers their questions.

On the other hand, everyone's situations are different, and we don't want old threads getting bumped and people becoming alarmed.

Another issue is the fact that people in FA tend to be "creative" when their name their threads. The thread title doesn't often actually reflect what the topic of the thread is.

with the creative naming... surely one girl writing 'girly question' in the box would come up with hundreds of other 'girly' wotsits?

by creative titles aidey means things like "quick question" or "Whats this" etc etc. Those that wouldnt be linked to any real information.

Kim is exactaly right. There are probably 500 threads in the FAF with some variant of the title "little problem" or "quick question". Neither of those titles actually tell you what the thread is about though, making the title search function useless.
