well this has really been worrying me alot because i was told on another forum that i was a liar,I wanted to start this thread and see what people think.
I must admit though sometimes i don't believe some of what i read.
the vast majority of the time, i believe what i read. i don't believe it's necessarily 100% factual but most of the time people are telling the truth about what they are experiencing. they might just occasionally interpret it slightly differently from the "truth".
i'm a lot less gullible than i used to be. i once had a friend who told me he'd killed his psychiatrist, that he had an IQ of 256, that he was schizophrenic, that his/my CPN had tried to hypnotise him, all sorts of other graphic stuff too. and i believed it all! i met him again a few years later and he was all better. i still do fall for things more than most, though.

Letting it get to you - You know what that's called? Being alive. Best thing there is. Being alive right now that's all that counts. ~ Doctor Who "The Doctors Wife" 06.November.2011
I put sometimes, because sometimes there is stuff I read that I don't believe.
But I believe most stuff.
I just like to try and see the good in people and hope that they won't lie. Especially around here.
Life can be beautiful if you let it.
Step back, breathe and take it in
i usually do.
i try and see the good in people and help them as best i can
i mean, im telling the truth, so they should be too right?

I've put "sometimes" but i would have put "rarely" if that was the option. Just because i can smell a liar a mile off and i don't believe half the sh*t people write on here, i think a lot of people either outright lie or exagerate majorly. I think people encourage others aswell when it comes to there mental health which then makes the OP over exagerate what is really going on. I tend not to reply to such threads.
Generally.
I'm more willing to give people the benefit of the doubt than to question every comment, although the more lies you do discover the more it knocks the ability to do that!
Obviously some things seem a lot more believable than others, as some things don't add up, aren't possible, etc.
At the end of the day, it's the Internet, and is therefore open to a lot of all sorts of crap.
Well this is the only forum I'm on, and I believe most of what I read, but only if it's wirtten by people I trust, I remember something about the slow pregnancy thing that happened a while back on here, and I think thats a perfect example of how people can lie on forums.
Basically, people lie, if they want attention they might dress things up or they might lie completely, or even be totally honest, whatever, but it's human nature, and I think that you just have to be careful, realise not everyone is honest and lovely.
i believe in most of the posts...some people think perhaps exaggerate things a bit more ...but what do you expect some mental illness has that symptom so therefore i dont judge anyone./ the only time i get annoyed is when people contradict themselves and seem to make me think well i really have this illness but who gonna believe me when others cant be honest
I do believe what is written on ryl, yes. Other fourms, no very much so. Though on ryl is depends on what people say.. if it's a bit =/ than I don't believe it, no. But good question. (Y).
this is the only forum i check regularly.
and i only really pay attention to the posts of people i know/have met in real life so generally i believe them.
everyone else i kindof ignore most of the time tbh.
Most of the time, I believe most of what I read. A few people lie outright. Most people probably exaggerate or make themselves sound better / less at fault than they are. *shrugs* most people do that, it doesn't bother me a great deal.
It depends. I am very wary of certain members and have been stung by liars on here in the past so I tend to be a bit sceptical. I will still give new members the benefit of the doubt and try and respond to them, as well as old members that I have either spoken to a lot/met but generally I don't tend to believe what people say.
I put yes but the more i thinkl about it its actally sometimes... but it all depends most of the time i do believe what i read i have no reason not to.
