Clairvoyant/psychics and hullucinations

My cpn has told me to see a clairvoyant/psychic regarding my hullucinations because he says that's probably what is wrong and it isn't 'medical'.

I wanted to know others experiences of this.

Thanks,
Becca

wow, your CPN has a polarised view. straight out - can you see a new one?

your hallucinations may well not be medical, but that doesn't mean they're spiritual! i'm not saying there's anything wrong with seeing a clairvoyant/psychic, to be honest i don't know much about them, but i would have concerns that it could push people with a predisposition to psychosis to lose touch from reality even more.

to be honest, it doesn't sound like your medical team are any more trustworthy than a psychic (from what i've previously read in your other threads) but i'm not convinced a psychic is the way to go.

Thanks for your 1131 opinion Laura.

I am very confused by what is happening to me. And he says I need to decide if things are medical or spiritual. But I can't Ariel says she is an angel sent to protect the world from scum like me and to kill the thirteen and that I am being hurt because I deserve it (but others don't see them hurting me).

I dunno.

Could a psychic could help *me* with what is happening? Or could they help Ariel instead? (Who incidentally thinks it's a great idea I go).

Hm.

you're welcome :)

well, my strong opinion is that you need a psychologist/psychotherapist. i'm not sure how possible this is.

i think seeing a psychic about this sort of thing is too risky. and i also don't think you're in the position to be able to decide whether or not the hallucinations are medical or spiritual (or psychological) - that's one for your care team.

there again, i know some people who have been helped by viewing their experiences as spiritual. however, their hallucinations were not malevolent. i think because yours are punishing of you and others, seeing a psychic wouldn't be beneficial. but that's just my opinion.

It sounds really unusual for a CPN to say something like that. And it doesnt sound very professional to be honest. If you see anyone else, I'd tell them that your CPN said this to you.

Take care xxx

You know, i've been reading you for a while and we have spoken on many occasions, and i've often thought of you seeing a medium/psychic - but again, it comes down to your own beliefs. Not everyone is going to agree with what your CPN has suggested - personally, i do, and i think because you're so desperate for help it wouldn't hurt to give it a go, i mean, what have you got to lose?
It's very possible Ariel is actually a spirit guide - i don't want people to start thinking i'm crackers, but i'm very much into the afterlife/psychic/mediumship out there. However, i do think you confuse Ariel with the negative voices which could very well be a negative spirit which has attached itself to you.

I get 2 psychic magazines each month (they only come out once a month) and read them throughly from front to back. I remember a woman who was plagued with depression for 3 years until a friend of hers suggested going to a spiritualist church - after going on a regular basis, she branched out to see a healer, and she said she'd never felt more alive.

It's very possible you do have psychic abilities. I often wonder (from my personal view) about people who hear voices whether it IS medical/psychiatric, or whether it is something psychic - we all have it in us, but some of us are more open minded than others. I've been told by a psychic that my third eye chakra is very open which means i do have psychic abilities, and a very good friend on here Irene (Morrigan) often comments on how i predict things, for instance, we may not have spoken for several days, but i'll suddenly email her without warning giving her a hug and telling her i'm here for her because i emotionally pick up on the fact that she's feeling sh*t. She finds it weird how i know things before they happen..like, she came to visit me not so long ago and turned up randomly, and i sensed she was going to do that before she even arrived - she was trying to surprise me but i just sensed it.

It truely does come down to what peoples beliefs are. You will get a mixed bunch of replies here..some saying what a load of bollocks, others saying go for it. It's a bit like a religion i guess, if you don't believe in something you don't believe in it, but if you do, you do. I believe that there's more out there and i believe it's in everyone - but not everyone openly accepts that. Some people are more open (like i believe you are) to spirits, and it shouldn't be ruled out that someone negative has attached itself to you.

As i said before - you've exhausted most options, so why not give it a try?

i don't think you're crackers. it really is about personal opinion/belief with these things. my mum went to see a psychic with three friends, all of whom were quite open to these sorts of things, but my mum isn't really. and the other three said it was astonishing how accurate the psychic was, but with my mum, she got everything wrong.

(though my feeling is that Becca you're experiencing the feeling of these things hurting you as an intrusive memory from the past).

Personally? I think you need a good trauma therapist.

I've seen 2 psychics and both have been pretty accurate, the first one being spookily so.
I do believe Becca needs outside help in regards to the trauma she has indured, but i don't think it would hurt for her to pop along to a spiritualist church - most areas have them, and you can also ask around for a reputable psychic - recommended ones are always best. It wouldn't hurt to see what they say. And even if nothing comes of it, i'm pretty sure you will find the experience rather uplifting.

I'm neither for or against psychics but based on your post I seriously don't think you should see one at the moment.

I have a couple of reasons for this - one is that you may well have a mental health problem which would be made worse by going deeper into it with a psychic who doesn't understand it's nature.

!!More bizarre bit coming up!!
From what I understand about working with guardian angels (whether viewed as external or as psychological phenomenon) - it's important to know which messages are true + valid communications from a deeper source, and which are just negative stuff (from your own sub-conscious.) This quote sums it up:

Checks on contact: All messages from the Guardian Angel are ultimately positive rather than negative towards the self. They are never judgemental or a 'put-down' (although they can be serious and severe - but more the attitude of a kind, loving father or mother than of a pompous or uncaring authoritarian figure).

All such messages are expanding and extending to the personality.

So a genuine communication will not tell you you are bad or that anyone should be hurt or killed. Whatever the source of these experiences you still need to be discriminating about whether to believe them and what you choose to do with them.

I think it's really really strange your CPN said that. I don't agree with him at all. I think you'd benefit from seeing a psychologist / psychiatrist.

I think if you see a psychic it could just confuse things and make them worse.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Okay. I have a question regarding this.

They know that she wants me to kill. Myself. Others. I have lists of people who must die. I have codes from her written all over my flat walls.

The psychotherapist they sent me to see told me that because she is an archangel she is going to be the one to heal me and I should take notice of what she says.

I don't really get that at all.
