Some good news at last

I just got a letter and as i opened it i thought oh ***** what do HM revenue and customs want with me? as i'm unemployed and getting people ringing left right and centre for money i thought they wanted money as well.


BUT i have just received a tax rebate for 2007-2008 (took there time) of £448 so i finally have some money to get people off my back for a little bit so i'm happy :)

It shocked me more the fact of how long ago it's for i haven't worked at Tesco in a long time and i thought my tax was right were as my last job tax was miles out but i won't complain as i have money :D

Hmmm, and all I had to do last yr was pay the government back £1,200 they'd put in my bank account by mistake! Thing is it was my student loan payment anyway (that I didn't need at that time as I was taking a break from uni) so they'd have got it back + interest in the end anyway!

Glad you've got money that they owed you. And it must feel good to be able to get a few people off your back and stuff especially as it must've seemed like some sort of a gift!
