I've seen Cowboy Bebop, but rather inconsistently(yearssss ago, I must have been like ~11/12, there was this Anime Channel on TV, but they had the awful tendency of only airing Cowboy Bebop after midnight :))) ). I remember I loved the opening song, and I found the anime exciting(really should [re-]watch it properly.
I've definitely been sav(our)ing NGE until ~now(seeing as it's been on the list forever and it actually seems I'm familiar with a few of the songs and yeah I was on tumblr in 2014 ).
Tbh music has played a big part in my love for anime. I have loads of nostalgic feelings relating to the Naruto/Sailor Moon/Fullmetal Alchemist soundtracks.

Cara had that very same channel I think. I only heard of anime/Cowboy Bebop at 18 and then only started watching at 20 (giving away more clues re: my age here :P). It's so amazing, I often have the OST on, I agree about it being calming

I fully intend to watch FMA. And Brotherhood. Again, something I'm savouring to wait to watch/once I;ve got the various Animes and current TV shows I'm watching like X-Files under my belt
