i cant concentrate to do much, trying to read random books which seem to have nothing to do with what im doing - saying that i dont even know what im doing.

I may just put a movie on and call it research ha!
I hope you can get some done, whats is it your doing?
Good plan about the film :)
Not sure if you are asking Mea or me but I am doing a BTEC in Health and Social Care at college and a diploma in psychology via distance learning although admittedly the latter is on the backburner at the moment.
Im trying to do some crap about how film music is used to manipulate our emotions and if it by doing this does it heighten our experience of the films.

Horror films tend to rely a lot on sound, they use it to build suspense and use loud, sudden noises to scare the audience. My mum always used to say that if you watch a horror film on mute then they aren't really that scary at all. Insidious is a prime example, in the cinema it was jumpy and their use of 'tiptoe through the tulips' was chilling but put it on DVD and most of the essence is lost.
/nerdy ramble :P

Ha ha i know its one of those subject areas that does have an easy answer, of course music makes the experience better, but then you have to answer why does it and how can we improve it. Music and media is way overused though, im watching a cooking show and they use dramatic music ha ha
If im honest im more comfortable doing essays and things like that, having to come up with an idea, a question then answer it isnt my idea of fun.
I also need to do a presentation for tue/wed (obviously i cant present it ha ha, but still need to do it)

Anything but! I'm trying to research cognitive functions and how mood influences perception/memory but I'm being distracted by various wikipedia links ><
oh the internet is a great distraction, one min your reading something relating to work and the next min you realise youve spent two hours reading about nonsense
