House of Wax is a good remake but I only like it because you get to see Paris Hilton die.

When they remade Taxi I was shocked by how bad it was. The original was such a good film, second one wasn't bad. Death at a Funeral didn't need remaking, it was only made a couple of years ago.

I also like the original Freaky Friday (Jodie Foster = <3), but they did a good job of the remake of that too.
But yeah, generally, the originals are the best, with the very rare exception.
