The American version of the grudge was Ok. At least they tried to do it right.
They went to Japan, hired the original director, crew and as many of the cast that spoke English.
Then the original writer and director worked with the studio's writers to adapt the script for an American audience.
if you're going to do a US remake that's the way it should be done.
Not like all other hollywood remakes of asian movies.

Both versions are pretty good in my opinion. But the Japanese version is better.
I give them points for trying on the American version.
