I know I am totally late to this thread. I have been gone to the site for a few months. Been addicted to world of warcraft.....lol. Anyway to the topic at hand. I was reading about the new "point system". I do see it working in a perfect world. However one of the things that upset me here before and why I didn't come to chat alot was the favortism in chat by mods. When I broke the rules I was quick to be told to stop or I would be kicked out of the room. However, when some others have done it, and it's happened alot mods tell me "they are trying to get kicked out, it's different". So if someone is trying to get in trouble on purpose because they have a self defeating problem then they are excempt from the rules and should get special treatment from everyone else? That always really made me angry. I am hoping that with this new point system that the favortism will be no more, and that if ANYONE breaks the rules that everyone is treated exactly the same no matter age, sex, race and so on for breaking the rules. I mean after all, if you broke the rules, you broke the rules. And if you let that person off, you have to let everyone else off for the same thing. Right?

If you have a problem in chat and think the mod is unfair, your best shot is to deal with it immediately by saving the chat log and sending it to another mod or to Harley.
Whining months later and in a general manner will do nothing except make you look bad.

I was simply bringing up the reason why I left several months ago. I tried to bring it up before and nothing was done about it. I was more concerned about it now with a person not only being able to be banned for one night, but for potentially a year or more for things like defending yourself in a fight in chat. But yea, I just "Whining". I sware, I can't believe I actually refer people here telling them people here are caring and open minded. I speak my mind about a concen I have and get my damn head biten off. I am not refering anyone else here to have their heads bit off. I won't be responcible for it and have that on my heart. I am sick of it!
No one was biting your head off. I dont think. Well i wasnt. I understand how you are probably feeling. But i think you should talk to a mod or Harley about it. Probs best thing to do.

Hmmm, good question but I dunno. 'The Rules' just say that any breach in the rules... blah blah blah, will receive a warning or infraction points. And any infraction points are visible in your profile, but I would think the Mod should tell you if you've been given points. I wouldn't worry though Mash, I'm sure you wont get any

Stanly, I personally have nothing against you, and I remember having seen you in chat quite a few times and it going well.
I just don't see the point of getting all wound up now in this thread, months after it happened and I have to say I'm quite surprised because it's been quite a long time since I've seen any mod behave in a biased way.
I'm sorry you've had a bad experience and I'm glad you seem to give v3 a chance, however, I really advise you to PM the mods you've had problems with and to talk it out with them instead of generalising. There's a list of the chat mods in the forum and community questions board.
