I was away Monday and Tuesday so just got to eat my first three advent calendar chocs in one go. Happiness :D

I was never allowed a chocolate advent calendar as a kid, just a picture one.

Also I got my first Christmas card today :)

My tree. It wasnt completely dark when i took the picture so the lights arent showing much but i decorated it tuesday :) the upper branches has glass birds with feather tails and then the classic glass baubles in different sizes, shapes and colours/decorations.

I love it. I also made decorations and decorated my flat in general. But i wanted to show my tree. May post a picture of it in the dark cause it looks so pretty.

I have my tree up and everything. Bought new decorations yesterday because some of the christmas decorations got broken over the past year.

I saw the coca cola truck twice yesterday - it came to my local town!

where is that commercial? we have the weirdest christmas commercials here this year but no coca cola one.

my room is kinda decorated but not really? i have been working a lot and work is SUPER busy because apparently people still drink a lot of coffee during christmas time even though we have a bunch of christmas markets who sell hot alcohol. oh well. the only time i feel christmas-y is during work which is weird. i love christmas time but somehow i cant enjoy it this year.
i have an advent calendar like always though <3 but i still havent had proper chirstmas time food or drinks.

what are you guys having for christmas dinner this year? i feel like that's such a different thing and procedure as to where you are in thw orld and i am just curious...

Morpheus, your tree is beautiful!

I have decorated my room and our main tree now. :)
Main tree:

Going to see the Coca Cola truck on 20th December!

For our Christmas dinner we tend to have a starter of prawn cocktail and smoked salmon, and then the Christmas dinner includes roast turkey, roast potatoes, roasted carrots & parsnips, brussel sprouts, peas, pigs in blankets, stuffing, and sometimes bread sauce too. What do you usually have wi-nter?

^ THAT SOUNDS DELICIOUS OMG. can i stop by?

your tree is gorgeous btw. i love all the different colors on it. so many people keep it so simple but like my family loves mixing it up a bit too so i love people's colorful trees.

i actually don't know what we are having this year. we usually don't do the traditional christmas dinner at my moms so probably something like fish (salmon most likely) and some vegetables and rice or something, or a lasagne of some sort. at my dads we usually have turkey or duck. the food issue gives me anxiety i hope i can somehow get around dessert.

do you guys unwrap your presents before or after dinner?

Can relate very much to the food issues, same anxieties here. Be gentle with yourself though, and remember it's just one day. You'll get through it, and it is ok to have things (easier said than done I know, but it is true!) And those types of meals sound lovely too, salmon is delicious and I love lasagne. :)

Thank-you, I love our tree. It's become a bit of a joke about how tacky our tree can be every year, there's usually a bauble on pretty much every branch! But we wouldn't change it for the world.

In my family we open stocking presents (from 'Santa' ) in the morning, and then presents from family (under the tree downstairs) after lunch in the afternoon. We do one present at a time so we can all see everyone opening theirs too.

I love hearing people's Christmas traditions. :)
Do you have anything special you like doing on Christmas Eve?

Realised I uploaded the same picture twice. *This* is my decorated bedroom:

I got the Christmas countdown back on my phone (had to sadly remove it for space) and I also got a Gift manager app. I haven't bought anything yet for Christmas though I have a few ideas, but not e money yet as I have a lot on this month. But I can't wait to get started.

I wasn't going to decorate my flat as I have to move out on Jan 1st (moving most of it out on Christmas Eve) but as people were coming over I thought I'd make the effort.

I bought some string things with little shiny stars on to hang around the room. Gotta be honest, the stars are too small and it just looks like I decorated my living room with multicoloured barbed wire.
Oh well, got some flashy lights :)

Vintage Misery - I'm not having a tree either because of my darling cat and puppy! I can't see it ending well because it certainly didn't go well when I just had the cat so with the dog too....

I hope your day of shopping has gone well :)

I want to go pick out a tree. I live across the continent from my family+ bf, so with traveling it wasn't worth it to actually go get my own. My bf doesn't have one yet, might try to get him to go Sunday :)

wrapped some of my gifts :)

Sometimes, you have to try more than once.

Alice came to a fork in the road
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "It doesn't matter."

I have wrapped all my presents but they arent as fancy or as prettily wrapped as Terray's. I have finished my cards too - which is good because today is the last posting date for 1st class. Someone I know has a birthday on the 23rd, I forgot to get a card, but I have a stack of plain cards so I had to give her one of those.

I have finished food shopping (going to parents so I dont have to worry about actual food for christmas day), I am going to avoid town until the new year. The only thing on my to do list is deflea the cats prior to them going to the cattery over Christmas.

I remembered another thing to do: write the Christmas cards to my mum, dad and brother. Was supposed to get them a card, but I bought the cards today.

I stopped at the supermarket tonight to pick up a little treat for my dad. As I left I noticed all the Christmas decorations around me and I stepped out into the warm night, even though it was 11pm, and it felt like a quintessential Australian Christmas moment. The mild nights can be so beautiful.
