I'm now stalking the NaNo forums to find research on drug use. I can't find any. These people suck.
This is going to sound horrible, but it's really not meant to, but have you tried the substance abuse forum here?
At least that way you can get an honest and sensitive view on the subject, rather than a clinician's research...

...and do you know something creepy?! I wanted to make my character have depression as well, so i've been doing research and I've already given him most of the symptoms of depression and withdrawal without even realising it! :O!

I didn't get to bed until 5.30am due to this BUT I got to 4,041 words so it was worth it. Aim to get to 5,000 words by 5pm so I'm gunna get started with it now.
