I'm in the seventh dungeon (of eight) in Link's Awakening and I'm stuck. I'm not stuck on a boss or a puzzle, that'd be understandable. No, I'm stuck on a jump, of all things. I need to use the speed boots and the feather at the same time to jump over a huge gap, but there isn't much of a run-up, so it's all too easy to either jump too soon and fall into the pit or not jump at all. And if you fall, you don't reappear on the edge of the screen, you fall right down to the first floor of the dungeon and you have to climb back up again.
I'm actually tempted to give up. It's really frustrating, especially having come so far in the game (and having more or less breezed through it so far). It's a Zelda game for god's sake, it's not a platformer. I shouldn't be stuck on a tricky jump.
Thinking about playing infinite undiscovery or last remnant
Take me away, I just want out from this self-imprisoned self-made Hell. Don't be surprsed, this is your mind coming to life by self-sacrifice. This tragedy of death will walk hand in hand with every thought of regret. Blame yourself for what you've become. The mind is a powerful thing set to self-destruct.

I've decided to abandon Link's Awakening. It's a great game, but that 7th dungeon is just too frustrating.
At the moment I'm just about wrapping up the story mode of WWE '12, and while it's a good game overall, the story mode is beyond stupid. The storylines are ridiculous even by current WWE standards (a WCW invasion, for example... the only place Arn Anderson, Vader and Road Warrior Animal are likely to invade in 2011 is a retirement home), and most of it consists of backstage brawls (which aren't fun at all, due to lousy controls, a very limited moveset and only one way to win). But it's the fastest way to unlock everything, so... might as well.
Kinect adventures, feel like I'm losing weight, not that I need it

Just finished the story mode of WWE '12. As boring as it was for the most part, I have to admit the last match was a blast: a 6-on-6 elimination Hell in a Cell at (of all things) WCW Starrcade. The pay-off was pretty disappointing though: I unlocked Vince McMahon. Nice to see his ego has permeated the realm of videogames too.
Anyway, I think it's about time I moved on to a game I've had for a while and have been wanting to play for over a decade: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. If it's half as good as everyone says it is, I'm looking forward to it.
The cable that connects my N64 to the TV appears to be broken, so until I get it replaced (somehow) I won't be playing Ocarina of Time.
In the meantime, I'm playing Kingdom Hearts (another game I've been meaning to get around to for a long time) and UFC Undisputed 2010, which I bought today and have been playing almost non-stop (a perfect record of 4-0-0 in Career Mode so far - Welterweight Championship here I come).
kingdom hearts was awesome, kinda hated the fact they made spin off games for both nintendo and sony's portable games consoles, and i dont have a psp :(

I tried KH years ago but never got into it - I prefer turn-based RPGs and the real-time combat threw me off a little. But I played 358/2 Days for the DS over the summer and although the story went waaaaaay over my head (I had no idea who anyone was or what was going on or why), I loved the gameplay. So now I'm giving the original another shot... and I'm embarrassed to say I'm stuck on one of the first bosses: the Guard Armour in Traverse Town.
It's not fair. I'm good at RPGs. I should not be having this much trouble with an early boss. I even checked a walkthrough, which claimed that Donald and Goofy throw healing items, but they haven't done that for me, the bastards...
Guard Armour, i honestly dunno what advice to give on that boss, as far as i remember it was quite simple just focus on one body part at a time. I think i went for the legs first then jump and combo attack the upper half. Ironically thats not even the tough version of it (you'll see what i mean)
Oh as for potions, you have to equip Donald and Goofy potions in their inventory for them to use them on you, if they have none equipped they dont use them. Also try changing their battle tactics maybe they are being too aggressive and that ignores potions.
Im playing Final Fantasy 9 (my favourite)......again, saw someone speedrunning it and got me itching to play it again.
Cuz we all spend half our time running around, f*cked out of our minds
And we spend the other half sleeping at desks and praying just to get back...

That's why I liked Kingdom Hearts, I just cannot get on with turn-based systems. I'm more of the hack-and-slash type player. Except in shooting, where I'm a sneaky stealthy sniper type for some reason.
Guard Armour is tricky, I think he is relatively one of the most difficult bosses in the game. I have no idea why though, maybe they got the levelling slightly off, or maybe it's just for the challenge. Go for the feet first, then the arms, then the torso.
It is well known that Donald is, frankly, crap in the original. He is quite good for healing you though. If you go to the 'Status' menu (or something like that anyway) you can change their combat styles. It might currently be on 'only in emergencies' for the potions/Curing. Or maybe they don't have any? Goofy though <3 If you need to run away to heal yourself then press triangle and you can send Donald and Goofy to the front and let them do some combat.
As for the story, in all honesty, no one knows what's going on in the KH universe!
