Reading all of the newest posts, i am furious with how this whole documentary thing has ended up, with people feeling disappointed and humiliated. I definately would complain.
If the documentary in december is not sensitive to self harmers and is rushed and, basically, just a load of rubbish, then i will definately take some action, as i hope some of youwould too. After all Harley, the mods and everyone else on here is doing to show and tell people what it *really* is like for a self harmer, its a mick take for some stupid woman to add to some of the rubbish people out there believe.
it wont help anyone. i hope the documentary will not be like that.

My name is Carly and I am working with Emma Parsons, the director who is
out filming, so I'm looking after her emails.
Thank you very much for your response, it has been great hearing from so
many individuals that were willing to talk to us about their experiences
of self harm. I know it's no small thing in wanting to speak to us, so I
can't stress how much we appreciate getting an actual response from
everyone. We have found meeting and talking to young people about self
harm extremely useful. They have informed of a various number of aspects
of self harm and proved that real life experiences are definitely better
than an expert opinion giving us far greater dept.
We are at the stage where we have got all the contributions we need. So,
sadly I won't be able to take your interest in the programme any
further. I wish we could have had more time to include all the
individuals that have contacted us in the last few weeks.
I do hope you watch the programme once it airs on BBC 3 sometime in
December and feel that we have made an informative and relevant
documentary about young people and self harm.

Mmmm they have handled this really badly. I think I might let my dad know its upset some people? He works at the BBC, pretty high up. It's not fair they didn't even read your email, they'll have to listen to my dad, or whoever my dad gets to have a go at them :D
