If you shout then she knows she's got at you, and it makes her feel like she's 'won' the game. I know it's really difficult when you're feeling so frustrated, but try to keep calm. Not necessarily ignore her cos thats not always practical either! but be calm when you're telling her off so you are the one in control, not her.
Sounds a bit like she's testing you at the moment.
Does there seem to be a pattern as to why she is behaving the way she? bored/tired/attention/etc?
Maybe try, when she is doing something wrong, just going down to her level, get her to look at you and say firmly, stop, no and then move her away to do something else...or put her in a corner/spot for a minute, ignoring her.
Just be consistent with her and try to keep your cool and stay calm, though, i know it's not always that easy!

a lot of the time she only does it because she thinks it's a really funny game. Wind mummy up, and she shouts and pulls funny faces!
I suppose it's a good thing she's not scared of me. I should be pleased... she's happy, and confident and seems well adjusted.
The thing that bothers her the most is when I move her to the other side of the room and ignore her. But even that doesn't bother her THAT much. She just comes back.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait for Maddles to open her stocking! I subscribed to Mother and Baby magazine so I got a free talking Makka Pakka toy to put in it, amongst other things. She is going to LOVE talking Makka Pakka!
my friend puts her toddler into his highchair instead of a corner, because he can be strapped in and she can leave the room for a minute or two to cool down before coming back in and telling him why he was put there. he hates his highchair, even at meal times so it gets through to him that he has done wrong. he was starting to get the straps undone so she put a fabric pouch over the clippy bit.
merry christmas all, love mand x

merry christmas! Maddles didn't eat her christmas lunch. She wouldn't even try it. She had a cracker and some smoothie. Although later on she ate a small amount of Christmas pudding with Creme Fraise (sp?).
she was very excited by all the presents though, and this year she can manage to open them by herself if they're loosly wrapped. And she looks adorable in her little red dress.
chloe ate christmas lunch, christmas pud (with white sauce) and vienetta! she was bouncing as my mum was trying to let her lick the spoon!
she started off stood next to her sack and trying to vault herself into it!
then ate everyone else's paper, before discovering her new toys.
she got a set of stacking pots which can go in the bath and have animal patterns to use on p[laydoh when she's older. she got a vtech story/nursery rhymes book, and a vtech winnie the pooh piano for when she's older. she got a teddy twice the size of her, as well as some smaller toys (pingu and a cuddly penguin, the walker she had early, some dvd's - ORIGINAL carebears, fireman sam and pingo FTW!!!) and a load of clothes including a t-shirt that says 'i was born a dude' form her nan...
how did your day go?
mum and dad opened a secret santa pressie from church, took out a box of quality street and then found an envelope with Ł500 in it... so that was a nice surprise!

ME TOO! the gory-er (can't spell that word!) the better!
Chloe is getting really funny - like to the point matt and i collapse in hysterics! I bared my teeth and went 'grrrrr' at her coz she bit matt's thumb really hard and broke the skin and bruised the nail! and she started giggling - so i did it again and she laughed so hard she was heaving and was nearly sick!
she also thinks it's funny if you look at the ceiling and go 'ha ha ha' in a really slow and exagerated way. then look at her to see if she is smiling. she goes nuts when you do it a few times in a row.
she also climbed out of her cot today, and fortunatley didn't hurt herself... don't know how, but she was crawling out of her room when the breathing monitor alarmed (coz obv she wasn't on it making it happy!) so stairs gates next me thinks!we have barricaded her in with a spare fireguard for tonight!

Had 3 pesaries (internal tabs) and 6 sweeps - the last one worked instantly - my waters broke but no one realised (not even me) was sick every 5 minutes from the instant my contractions started, 23 hours and had the suction cap and forcepts - ended up with 4th degree tears (am not allowed a natural birth next time) and had to stay in for a week after (had already been in for 4 days when he was born). Then he had jorndice and was under the UV light for 24 hours but was all worth it in the end. I used 2 tanks of gas n air, and had 2 pethedine shots and lots of epidural, had pure back labour and it was crippling!
But i'd definatly have another!!
Its all going well, have managed to breastfeed, and he's managing 6 hours at night now so im happy with that - he has 2 hours in the evening where he just screams but other than that he's a quiet baby!!
Hugs to everyone!! xxxx

OMG paperclip... that makes my labour sound positively easy! I got to hospital, small amount of gas and air, and out she popped 25mins later, only a second degree tear.
your little boy looks very cute, what's his name?
Well done for the breastfeeding, if you need any advice, I just finished my peer supporter training! So I'm qualified to be supportive and answer questions!
jo, the cot is at its lowest but we think she managed to step on a drawer handle that was close to the cot, so we've moved it back further. she is like a little monkey though, forever sliding off things and dangling by her arms - big grin on her face! hope you're all well, mand x

Am I the only one who had an easy labour? Despite it being so long? lol, I got to the hospital at 10:30 and he was here by half 2.
Nope, i had a super easy and quick labour. I had my first contraction at 2am, phoned the hospital at 5am, went in at 5.30am had her at 6.21am. Had gas and air and that was it, and i just had a graze.
Haha, aw, Mand she sounds a lot like Esmé!
Hopefully you'll have no more cot escaping!

sounds like an absolutely hellish labour!!!! i was lucky i didnt tear, just grazing. was in labour for 3 days, it was excruciating, i have never experienced anything so agonisingly painful. it made me feel like a wimp, as you hear about women not realising they are in labour, but i felt better when i was told at one point while on the monitor that i was contracting too hard - whatever the hell that means!!!!
so i totally take my hat off to you hun, 4th degree tear sounds awful!!
