Put him in his cot a walk away for a few minutes listen to some music and ty and relax and then go back to try to soothe him. Maybe you need a break?

Berni, I hope Kyle feels better soon

Hey Pegward are you alright?
Bigmouths right about putting him down for a few minutes so you can try and calm down, before trying to settle him again.
Is there any chance someone could have him for a day, or just a few hours for you? it does sound as if you need a bit of a break, some time by yourself, without having the worry of a baby.

I hope Kyle feels better soon Berni, i wouldn't worry too much about him going off his food, it happens, as long as his having something then he'll be fine.

I've just come back from doing my pre-schoolers Christmas play, it was mega cute, most of them did really well, there were only a few tears. I can't wait for Esmé first Christmas play lol.

Try him in the Cot Berni, and if he doesn't settle then maybe stay with him downstairs.

just make sure he is staying hydrated berni, if he wont take his milk try with plain water. calpol night is formulated to help babies with colds sleep, it eases congestion well.

i rarely give chloe anything with salt in. so how do people feed their babies? keep making separate stuff for them? we eat a lot of pasta in our house, and we use ready made sauces or packet mixes, so no way chloe could have that. i was hoping to get her onto the same food as us soon.it works out more expensive to buy food especially for her that she then won't eat. the baby stock cubes i've got just say 'lowered salt' rather than salt-free...

chloe is pulling herself up well now, in the bath, in her cot, on our jeans when she is sitting, if we turn off the tv to feed her she pulls up and turns round in her high chair (holding onto the back) to watch out the window - she's soooo nosy! her auntie has bought her a keyboard and chair for christmas - lets hope there's a national battery shortage eh?

i tested when i was about 10 days late. i hadnt realised i was so late and the symptoms of pregnancy had alerted me to it because i was shattered and had morning sickness. my result came up strong almost straight away.
but i know people who have tested before their period is due and got a positive result. they usually use the first response tests - i dont know if you have them in tazzy? but thats basically a test that will pick up the pregnancy hormone before you miss your period.

you thinking you might be jess?

Mand, if we're eating something that Oliver is going to have to I take his out near the end and then add the salt to ours. So if I'm making pasta, I'll cook all the pasta together (in water with no added salt) then take Oliver's portion out, then add the sauce. His will go in a different sauce, usually just tinned tomatoes with chopped veg, which I make in bulk and freeze. But you can buy baby pasta sauces, I think they're about 70p but I'm sure they'd do two meals.. then you could cook the pasta altogether, seperate it and add the two different sauces at the end.

Jess, I got a positive result 2 days before my period was due with a normal test, but I did have high hormone levels, to the point of my doctor wanting to send me for an early scan to see if he was twins. I'm not sure if tests would always work that early (I only tested early because it was my 21st birthday and I though it'd be a good day to find out!) but you can get ones that claim to work up to a week before your missed period.

Haha, I don't drink anyway so it didn't ruin any of my plans :P I wasn't actually expecting it to be positive because it was so early, I just wanted to test so I could say it was my best birthday present ever - cheesy hey!

Well for me.. I tested positive on the 20th of feb.. kinda doesn't add up coz my cycle is 33 days.. my last period I had started on the 28th Jan.. soo that actually might have been an implant bleed *shrugs* it was also shorter then normal *shrugs*

But depending what brand or whatever, sometimes you can test up to bout 5-7 days before your due... but then some people haven't gotten a positive till they were like one week late :\ good luck jess ;)

The day i tested i was exactly six weeks, promptly starting throwing up the next day! Only tested though because, though being irregular, i suddenly realised i hadn't had a period for a while! Hope you get the result you're hoping for Jess, aiming for a honeymoon baby?

@Alive - I knew three days before my next period was due as I did not feel like I usually do and my cycle is very predictable (down to the time of day). I didn't bother to take a test until about a week after that but it was pretty much just confirming it by that point.

Now I'm just mooching around town/the flat wondering how close to my 'expected delivery date's I'm actually going to deliver. Was told 18th by the sonographer, 20th by the first midwife, 21st by the second midwife, and 22nd by my current midwife... Personally I'm in no great hurry as long as it's before New Year's Eve. I'm really looking forward to a nice, stiff drink!
