Something like that is the best thing to activate the hormonal changes to cause ovulation and end them being on heat (unlike us sex is the stimulus to cause ovulation and make them come off heat early (though they come off eventually).
Female ferrets on the other hand can literally die if they haven't been speyed and don't have sex... glad I'm not 1, I've been single for aaaaages!
