Mike - A number of supporters are Forum/chat mods so we have colours.
If you want to contact the supporters you are able to email or go on to Live Help when it is online.
Another important reason why the supporters are not coloured is that I have noticed that sometimes when a mod replies to a support thread they are the last reply because people feel there response won't be good enough. If this was to happen with the supporters reply rates may drop dramatically and that would be sucky the other side of the coin may be feeling inadequate if no supporter replied to your thread!
Anyhow the questions you ask are helpful for other people so don't feel silly!!

I felt like that when i was going to reply to a thread the other day.
I guess it's the whole coloured name = better than me!
And making the supporters more visible would just cause much more of a rift within RYL, as it would probably become a status symbol for those wanting a bit of status or power; which means that the wrong sort of person would be attracted to he role of supporter, and the quality of support offered would decrease and the whole basis of RYL be undermined.
*is thinking of this in too much of an economics based way* :P
Everyone has identified the reasons why we aren't a different colour:
We are like any other member - just with extra avenues to support members.
Whilst we aren't identifiable, you can ALWAYS send us an email at support@recoveryourlife.com or Live Help when online - so you're never missing out on support.
Sometimes Supporters need their space too - and if everyone knew they could be sent a PM at a time when they needed to be looking after themselves and either feel obliged or guilty - because I know none of the Supporter would want to disappoint a memeber in need.
Like coloured names, if people knew we were Supporters... we can kill threads.

There won't be an announcement as to who the new Supporters are, but I will personally PM everyone when the time comes and then make an announcement about that and IF anyone has slipped through the net - they can get in touch with Cam or I via PM.
The new Supporters will be chosen by the 2nd - but there will be more to sort out and it will take a while to send out PMs to 50 people... so it will take a few more days after that.

People will feel that their view would not be as valued as much as a someone who appears to have more authority and a higher 'status'. Therefore, people are less likely to reply after sch a person has made a post.
