I'm excited and terrified, so much could change, but I think I am more excited because it's my first time voting...It feels like some sort of passage into adulthood.

I'd like to see Labour/Green but don't know if it would work.
It saddened me to see on my town's facebook page that lots of first time voters were confused because they didn't see "David Cameron", "Ed Miliband" etc written on their ballot papers.

I think they would. Better the devil you know, and all that.
The Greens seem to live on another planet. Their flagship policy of a minimum wage of £10/hour is bonkers, and would end up with more unemployment as businesses cut jobs to cover the costs.

I had never paid much attention to my local candidates before until the most recent one, who happens to live in the same village as me and who I see around on a regular basis. She is the first candidate I have ever had who I believe genuinely cares about what happens in the area, as she is living in it. I'm about 95% sure she will win here and that would be a definite benefit to my area.
It doesn't surprise me in the slightest that voters are confused that the ballots don't have Cameron/Miliband etc written on them, after all they are on the front line and they are who will be in charge, so going into the polling station and not seeing their names can be really confusing! Everytime I vote I make someone go through it with me so I know what I'm doing, that may make me stupid but at least I'm sure I'm doing it right :p

Wow, Sherlock, a Tory/SNP coalition! Whatever happens I can't see that as remotely likely, given that the SNP are bent upon the breakup of the UK and are strongly against austerity (i.e. beginning to balance the books) and sod the future but we'll see the results in the morning.
I do hope all you RYLers get the result you are hoping for. And so do I ...

Making Scotland yellow, won't make a blind bit of difference to UK-wide, national policies, especially if the Conservatives manage to get a majority vote.
My sister said she's secretely glad of the result, even as a Labour voter. I guess, as much as I hate the tories, and I know people will suffer as a result, and they'll dismantle the NHS and ruin the eduction system, at least it isn't a hung parliament. Coalition governments are weak and ineffectual and at least a Tory government is better than no government at all.
(My area, London, has mostly sweeping Labour gains though!)

I'm honestly panicked and scared. As someone who due to MH and physical health I rely on disability benefits and my disabled persons bus and train passes to live and get around. I also rely on the NHS an awful lot. If these things gets cut, or taken away, I'd be utterly screwed.

I kind of agree. If the Tories weren't headed for a majority I think we could have ended up with a Tory-DUP coalition (as Con-Dem or Con-SNP seem unlikely and the DUP are the only ones left with enough seats to have any chance of getting into a coalition) and that would be worse than just Tories!
Really really disappointed that we've lost the Alliance seat in Belfast East. And disappointed that I'm in England so no one I moan to about it cares or even knows what I'm talking about :P
