Agh, been busy, haven't been able to watch much anime. I spent the past 3 days watching all of Bakuman. It is officially one of my new favorites. It was a long anime, but a good one. It was kind of inspiring, I guess.

Also, yeah, I won't believe anyone who says they can get through Angel Beats without crying at some point or another. That's my number one favorite anime. Definitely.

Now that Bakuman is over, though, I've got to find another anime to watch. I'll post again when I've found something decent, lol. For now, though, I definitely recommend Bakuman to anyone who hasn't seen it. It's great. The first few episodes didn't get me completely reeled in, but once I got about a quarter of the way into the first season, I couldn't stop watching.

I've recently finished watching Ouran Highschool Host Club and I'm still currently watching Fruits Baskets. I think they're cute and the characters are definitely adorable and they're not too emotional either so I would recommend them.

I definitely agree with that, they are great for just light hearted fun :)

I'm re-watching Code Geass again with my friend who I'm introducing anime to. Trying to explain what happens in episode 15 of R2 was a bit difficult though haha.

Just rewatched that episode. Thinking back on it, I guess that anime could be pretty confusing. Correction: is pretty confusing at times. Still one of my all time favorites. I might rewatch all of Code Geass soon.

I also liked Ouran High School Host Club and Fruits Basket. I think I liked Fruits Basket a bit more, but both were great animes. Also, if you haven't seen Code Geass, it's probably one of the best anime of all time. Or at least in my top 5, anyways. Not quite as lighthearted as the two you mentioned, but I definitely recommend it if you haven't watched it. R2 is the second season of the show.

Also finished watching Ergo Proxy. It's a strange one. Really liked it, though. Not a favorite, but I'd recommend it to anyone who needs something to watch. It's got kind of a dark atmosphere, so if someone likes that kind of stuff, this is a good one to watch. I tend to enjoy anime like that (Death Note, Black Cat, Darker Than Black, Psycho Pass, etc).

Not sure what I'm going to watch next. Maybe Eden of the East. Still have that one on the list. I'll start that one tomorrow, I think.

After that, I think I might go back and rewatch a bunch of stuff. There's a lot of stuff I want to see again.

Haha well she had been doing fine up until that point, but when the episode finished she was just left so confused, that I had to attempt to explain what happened, but then I realised even I didn't really understand that well. Oh well we got through it and she ended up loving it, so it worked out :)

I assume you're asking about Ouran and Fruits Basket? I would recommend looking up summaries online, they are both excellent animes but I don't want to say anything too much about them here in case of spoilers. Both are two of my favourites.

Hmm I had heard of Ergo Proxy before, but never really given it much thought, however the way you have described it, I think I may like it. I love all the darker series, so I'll put it on my list, however at the moment I'm re-watching loads of old stuff with my friend. Vampire Knight is next.

I hope you like Eden of the East, that was one of the first series I ever saw, and it remains a favourite of mine, i'll probably end up re-watching that soon as well :P

Oh no worries, I probably just misread! R2 is simply what the second series of Code Geass is called. Like with the others though I would recommend looking up summaries online (there is a pretty good one here: http://bit.ly/aYPWhH), I don't want to accidentally spoil it for others by saying anything here. It's a brilliant series though, it has a lot of action, and a great story line. I would easily recommend it to anybody :)

Just started watching Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and my head is spinning :)))

And Code Geass sounds like it's worth watching and I've been meaning to watch it for some time already. Well when I finish what I currently have on my list I might just as well start watching it :)

Wow. Eden of the East is great. I'm wondering if either of the movies continue where the series left off. I mean, the end of the series was kind of an ending...but there could have been so much more. I guess that's just me wishing it wasn't over already :(

Anyways, great recommendation. I also recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

No idea what to watch next...I'm going to choose between these three:

1. Jormungand: Perfect Order
2. Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~
3. Witch Hunter Robin

I'll post back here when I'm done with one of them. I'll probably just pick whichever one has the most interesting first episode.

Also, Kayspouse, I haven't seen any of those. They all seem interesting enough to give a shot, though. I'll throw them on the list of potential candidates for next animes.

So, quick update. Watched the first season of Jormungand. It's amazing. Will watch the second season soon enough, but I recommend this to anyone who doesn't have something to watch.

I'll update again whenever I finish the second season.

The movies pick up where the series left off and basically make up 'season 2' (I know the ending makes no sense but It's all tied up nicely by the end of the second film :) )
Insomnia and boredom have reduced me to starting to watch Naruto again, It's really bad atm!

I've yet to start watching Naruto ever. Or Bleach. Or FMA. Not really sure why. I've been told they're good, and to watch them. I just haven't really had the time to dedicate myself to such long shows. Maybe I'll start watching one alongside all of the others that I end up watching. Not sure which to start first. First I'll have to watch those movies. I gotta see how everything ends up after the end of the season.

^ Yes they are worth watching. :) But it's true they are long stories, especially Naruto and Bleach. [I have been a Naruto fan for...umm..6 years now??] I watched all the episodes in the first series and a bit of shippuuden but it was taking so long! So I just started reading the manga hehe, now I'm just waiting for another chapter!(tomorrow!)
FMA is shorter though, and a really great story so you could start watching that if you feel like it/have the time :)

Right now I'm watching Soul Eater :) I started watching it before but I lost interest quite quickly(idk why) so now I'm watching it again!

So er... I just watched the first episode of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club that aired in Japan yesterday I think. The infamous swimming anime that has had the trailer floating around the internet on youtube and tumblr for the past few months. It was actually pretty good, I'm really intrigued and want to see more, they just haven't aired yet haha. This is the first time I'm watching an anime as it's airing in Japan and it feels very strange having to wait a week for a new episode. I'm so used to just marathoning whole series at this point.

Haha well I'm not going to lie, a lot of it is fanservice, but it has a sort of plot and that was more than I was expecting, so I'm happy xD

Bleach and Naruto are both good but between them we're talking 700+ episodes and an awful lot of it is filler (look up which episodes are non canon and skip them all). Both FMA and Brotherhood however are fantastic from start to finish and are really worth watching.
Small word of advice, all of the Naruto movies are terrible and while the Bleach movies aren't too bad they're all non canon so far as I know and feature references to the running anime that could either spoil elements of the plot for you or just make no sense.

Edit: Between Bleach and Naruto including all filler 906 episodes, wow!
