It was very weird.

Kind of would have liked to find out for certain about Hanssen & Sahiras relationship though the general consensus seems to be that he views her as a sort of daughter?

I think he kinda always viewed Sahira as his "project", and he wanted to mould her and make her the best her could. I think when she then shoved that back in his face he then didn't want to take on that role again with the new f1 on Darwin and he felt he could never take that rejection again.
