Getting a forward email from the council showing me that they have contacted my second reference. Means (fingers crossed) I will be starting my voluntary job any day now *excited*

I did Race for Life with my cousin and best friend in 37 minutes!
And then we went back 1.5k for my mum (who was in a wheelchair 'cos the side effects of the chemotherapy have given her blisters on feet) and my aunts (one of whom is also in a wheelchair). And we went around the corner and saw 15 police cadets walking with them and helping push the wheelchairs. Which was quite an epic sight!
And then at the finish line again two of the cadets had a race over the line, which ended when one accidentally tipped my mum out of her wheelchair!
Seeing my dad was for what it hougth would be about 10 minutes and then ending up talking in my flat kitchen for over 2 hours. We've come a long way since the days where I was living at home and we would go days without seeign each other to avoid arguments.

She was ok though, she thought it was really funny and she got up and walked the last of the way, so it was all good! We felt sorry for the poor cadet more than anything, he was so worried, and I don't think he'll ever live it down!
