congratulations to ragdoll and rusty! welcome to the world baby harlan!!!!

berni, theres a lot of bugs going round, maybe hes just got a wee cold? i found freyja was a nightmare when she had one because basically, she had no idea what was going on! she has no concept of what being unwell is and to her it must have been frightening because all of a sudden she couldnt breathe so easily. perhaps thats whats happening with kyle?

sometimes they do have inexplicable unsettled patches. theres been times when freyja has been screaming and jamie is like whats wrong with her? and i just want to shout at him well i dont bloody know do i, its not like she can tell me is it!!! its difficult because crying is really their only form of communication when they are so little, but sometimes you get through the checklist and they are still crying. its hard!

Madeleine turned 17 months yesterday. But she thinks she's two. And she's having two year old style tantrums. She stamps her feet and everything!

She's been really horrible today. She bit my tummy! And she's been sooo moody. She is teething though. Poor thing.

ohhh dear poor madeleine and poor you!

sorry to hear things are tough berni. kyle is maybe just having an off day, i remember feeling really **** when freyja was first born and there was a stage when daddy was the winner and she gave me hell all the time. she would fall asleep for him but not for me and it was hard not to take it personally. now its the other way around generally and its jamies turn to not take it personally.
i hope the osteopath goes well, i hear these things are very good for babies and it can help tremendously. again if it seems like hes happier sitting up then maybe it is reflux, because lying flat makes it easier for the stomach acid to flow back up into his throat. this is the problem i had with freyja and the reason she did not sleep on her back, she just screamed.
the first period, i got mine just as i was finishing up with my pp bleeding. i was just on the dregs of the lochia when i started getting bright red blood again and i wasnt best pleased either.
chris' mum, the way i would handle that is if she tried to take over i would say no its ok, i can do it/i would prefer to do it. you could even go as far to say as i would rather do it because we are moving into this new place very soon and i need to get used to doing all this when you arent around. on the other hand, she might be a bit sad that you are leaving and trying to cram in as much granny time with kyle as she can...and in that case maybe it would be easier on you to accept her help - after all, moving house is one of the most stressful things a person can do so if she can ease the strain then that could be a good thing?
i have your package all boxed up hun, ready to send. i am just waiting on jamie getting the word from payroll as he has just started a new job and was supposed to get half a months wage today which didnt appear. they are saying they dont have a record of him and are trying to sort it all out so hopefully the money will be through tomorrow, or within a few days at the latest. then i can get the box sent off to you, and i guess to your new address if you are getting the keys tomorrow. so just pm me your new addy when you get a chance and i will get this package sent to you asap...sorry its been taking so long, all this hassle with money is a pain. it should be posted by the end of the week at the latest.

Babies with reflux wont always throw up, it's generally speaking characterised by arching of the back and throwing back of the head. Sometimes they'll be sick, at other times they may posset a couple of hours after a feed (it'll look a bit like water with bits in it).

My poor baby Maddles got a toy thrown at her and it hit her on the head and now she has a scratch and a bump!

And she's learnt to put my shoes away for me!

Tantrums are fun! I actually find them rather funny, Esmé been having them for a while, i just let her get on with it, and wait until she's calmed down.
Has Madeline got many more teeth to come through?

Esmé been a lot calmer and was really nice to Charlie yesterday, giving him kisses and cuddles, but the real test will be at nursery on Thursday, hopefully she'll be nice.

hehe, bless her, does she like shoes? or does she just like being helpful?

I'm glad Esme's calmed down. BTW how do you get the dash over Esme's E? I don't think my keyboard does that...

Madeleine currently has her canines all coming through. I think we're past the worst, but one is still really bothering her. After they're through, just the back molars to go!

She likes shoes, AND she likes being helpful. If I leave any of the stairgates open, she shuts them! And when we get home, she helps me to close the door. And when we go out, I put her pushchair outside and ask her to get in, and she does! While I'm still hunting round for my purse! (we don't live on a road, so this is safe!) However, she used to follow me closely when I said 'come with mummy' or 'stay with mummy' and she doesn't anymore. She goes off wherever she wants to go, doing whatever she wants to do, and if I get too far away she sits down in a strop, until I come back to her.

She likes to wander about wearing MY shoes!
