It's a Scottish drink, although it's now found in the rest of the UK too. That's quite recent though. I think Scotland is the only place in the world where Coke isn't the top selling soft drink, but that could be Irn Bru propaganda.
All American confectionery is jammed full of preservatives and artificial colourings that science have proved has bad effects on kids.

Yeah, it worked because I needed something to tone down the taste of the Gin (was diet irn bru but same difference.) Ended up being far too easy to drink.
