I am at work just now. The article was about the transfer comittee. It was supposedly leaked by Rodgers. Basically saying he has little say in the matter of buying players. He is the only football man on there the rest is Ayre and FSG stat people.

Just really messy I think.

Oh and no idea about Lovren either. I think he will come good. It sounds stupid but I think the expectation of playing for Liverpool can weigh heavy on some people. Carroll struggled here but is now looking good for West Ham

Warnock sacked. Quite ironic that a manager good at getting teams into The Premiership has no idea what to do when he gets there.

Salazar, any info on who the new Palace manager will be? All Newcastle fans on the forums are hoping it's Pardew :P

Looks almost certain that it is Pardew! £2m compensation.

I served him when I worked in Sports Direct in my hometown a few years ago, didn't have the balls to ask him anything particularly interesting as I was a very shy 17-year-old.

Reasonably happy that we've got him, he is a cult hero at Palace, we'll see how he gets on with Parish. Mr Egotistical vs Mr Egotistical.

Sky Sports interviewed me the other day about Warnock being sacked, I didn't even try to hide my delight at the decision. Think I came across a bit nervous when in reality I was just utterly frozen!

It goes to show, that no matter how bad things get for me, there is still always one thing which brings me happiness. I must cling to this for it is the making of me, the beginning of my resurgance and the fightback epitomised. I will defeat my demons.

That's pretty cool being interviewed on SkySports. I would refuse though, I'd never wanna be on tv.

it seems Pardew was and is still held in high esteem by Palace. Perhaps it's the best move for everyone since i don't think it's worked out at Newcastle. I'm sure he'll find the supporters more welcoming and will only have the pressure to stay up on his shoulders, for the mean time.

I just hope this doesn't turn into a "be careful what you wish for" moment for us. I've heard Collocini could be in line for the job. That's just ridiculous to me.

No, it's totally true, he is leaving after this season. I am guessing that he came so near last season and this year is 100% showing him that he needs to hang onto the remainder of his career with some dignity and retire with silverware. He put his heart and soul into the club but one man doesn't make a team. They could have done with some more decent players this year. It's the end of an era.

I love Gerrard. I read his book too and just think he is very humble. Liverpool will need to sign some serious **** in the summer.

Watched the Barca v Althletico match and Barca had a good win over the league champions. They need to keep on winning now to top Real. They wouldn't be in the form they were in five years ago but then La Liga is always dominated by four or five league toppers. Kind of excited to see how they play in the Champions League. Who were they up against again? I must check and am delighted to see Southampton do so well this season, it's nice to see someone beat Man U.

Barca are playing Man City in the CL. I think if Aguero is on form City can win. Barca's defense is just shocking at times, but beating Atletico is a good result. Just on Gerrard I saw this on youtube...

I hate Barca and City. The only outcome I can stand is the ground opening up and swallowing both teams.

Objectively, I can see why people would hate Barca as they tend to harass the ref a lot and Neymar yesterday threw himself on the ground without cause leading the commentator to say he 'must have been a fan of Laurel and Hardy'. Funny but true.

Decent game so I would say. I like the Champions League when the bigger teams come up against each other.

Arsenal had a great win over Man City today they played excellently. I actually think I want Southampton to win the league, it would show the underdog making it and getting one up on the usually dominant teams. The PL has become predictable as of late and Liverpool's miss last year was a disaster.

I heard we were in talks with Bernd Schuster, but now apparently its been denied. I just hope the fact that we have no idea who to appoint means Ashley is finally ready to sell.

Didn't watch the Barca game but I hear Torres scored a couple against Real.

United drew with Cambridge. They are really riding their luck in the league.
Have a feeling with us coming into form and Arsenal with the inevitable top four push that United will fall away.

Couldn't get a good link for the game but disappointed for Liverpool.
