Dont beat yourself up if you dont manage it, just try again another time. The main thing is that you tried and you did your best. If you find it a bit daunting and like you cant do the whole time, just split it up into days, try doing one day and if you manage that, then try another. Be realistic with your goals, dont set something that is too challenging because you will set yourself up for a fall. Try your best and that is enough. Good luck.
I am here anytime of the day/night if anyone needs support/talk to etc if they are struggling through the christmas period as i know how hard it is for people at this time of the year, especially when it comes to family, the holidays and self harm.
