Yes, the plan is that people will be informed as from next Tuesday. 3rd June. It takes that long for suitable people to be chosen from all the applications.
The supporters are generally kept incognito for a number of reasons but mainly because as a supporter you support when you can and this can change when people are known to be supporters.
Hence we dont have a special colour and so on!

I understand the reasoning, but personally I would have though giving the supporters a colour/distinction would make people more receptive to their advice/more likely to PM them?

yes but like it has been said, if they are knowen, then they could be hounded outside of the hours they choose to support, and it could make things difficult if you have to turn someone away when they arnt supporting.

Ah I suppose so... Possibly it could be an option though?
Sometimes, I would liek to know that there was someone specific I could turn to if nessesary.... I know there are my friends and other members but I think of it like the first aiders..... I would still accept a members advice, but its nice to know that you're post is being looked at by a specialised first aider.....

If you want to contact someone, the best thing to do is email support@recoveryourlife.com . That way, if a supporter is online, you should get feedback pretty quickly.

There isn't a single First Aid Advisor who is also a Chat mod so i'm not sure who you are talking about.....
The only way to tell us from the rest of RYL is that we all have some form of "First Aid Advisor" or "Wound Care Advisor" under our name on the left of the page. If you go into the FAF there is also a sticky at the top of the forum with a list of all of us.
