Can I just say, recently, I've heard quite a few people saying that when they reported something, it got leaked and the person who's post they reported found out it was them (or they were told who reported their post) and it makes me feel uncomfortable. If I report something then I don't want people finding out, basically. It kinda makes me feel like a grass.

I really don't want people to think this is a regular occurence. That I'm aware, this situation has only happened once, and that was a very, very long time ago (we're talking about six month, I think), and has been dealt with.
If this has happened more recently, please do let us - or even better, Typsee - know (obviously, keeping names etc. anonymous if that is better), because it is totally unacceptable for this to happen, and really, really shouldn't do.
Under no circumstances should the information regarding the person who reported the post be disclosed to the poster of the thread in question, and we are cautious about that.
I am sorry if it has happened before, though. It really shouldn't happen, and we'll do everything we can to sort it, if at all possible.
Please don't let that put you off reporting! We're talking, at the most, a handful of cases in a large, large number of PRs.

But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.

I have to agree that normally it is pretty obvious for some people such as myself, on the rare occasion that my posts get edited it is usually because someone has decided to take a disliking to me a few moments earlier & take it upon themselves to use my very often ambiguous replies in a negative light rather than PM me and discuss it between ourselves (which I'm always happy for people to do if they so wish). Although, I have otherwise never heard of people been told who sent the post reports. I assume that it is more of the fact that it is a method used by those most likely to have their posts edited, in order to scare people off from having ideas of reporting them again; giving the moderators a bad reputation as well as creating tension within the community.
