^ Have you thought about using myanimelist to organise everything you've seen? It has a ranking system 1-10, 10 being perfect, and you can list everything you've seen, what you plan to watch and what you may have dropped or put on hiatus. I've found it pretty useful in keeping track of everything I've seen and what I may want to go back an re-watch.
I really hope you like Eden of the East, I love it, in fact i'm probably going to go back and re-watch it again soon.
I've just re-watched Code Geass. All the talk about it here made me want to experience it all over again, and even though I knew what would happen, it was still just as amazing as I remember it.
I'm just starting Black Butler, it seems like a really interesting concept, and I love that it's set in England, it's very different to anything else I've seen so far.

I've been meaning to make a profile for MyAnimeList, but it'll take a day just to sort through all of the anime I've seen so far. The more anime I watch, the less excited I am about adding everything. I'll have to do it soon enough, though. I've just kind of written down most of what I've seen and liked.
Also Black Butler does seem interesting. I'll have to add that to my list. (this is probably where myanimelist would be helpful, lol).
I still need to watch Ghost in the Shell. I tend to end up ignoring a lot of the bigger name animes since I keep finding slightly more obscure ones that seem interesting. I like watching animes that I don't really know what to expect. For most of the bigger name animes, I know everything about them. Doesn't mean I won't like them, I'm just not drawn to them as much as the more obscure ones (or at least anime that I, personally, haven't heard much about).
Right. So I just spent the last hour or so thinking of all the anime I could and adding it to a list. I only put stuff on the list I thought was at least half decent. I'm sure there's some stuff I didn't put up there, but that should be most of it.

For the most part I think that's a good idea. If you look past the super-hyped stuff you can find some real gems just waiting to be found. The last one like that I watched was Kaigi (or something like that). It's a stupid anime about this guy literally gambling with his life. So frustrating, but it's purposefully over-dramatic, and that makes it sooo gewd.
But anyway, while some popular animes don't live up to the hype, some of them are earn their popularity! GitS is pretty good!

Tried to find kaigi, ended up finding an anime called Akagi. I figured that's the one you were talking about. Added it to my list of anime I need to watch. Seems like one I'd like.
Oh, and another thing about finding obscure anime, it tends to keep things interesting. Keeps things fresh. You see some pretty different stuff, which makes it feel like something totally unique most of the time. Keeps you from getting tired of watching the same stuff over and over.
I think Isaac and Miria might be some of my favourite characters from any anime, not just Baccano! One day, when I have saved up some money, I will go to an anime convention cosplaying as Miria, I just need to find myself an Isaac haha

Good luck finding someone with as much charisma as that guy, lol. I'd definitely pay to see that combination, though.
In the mean time, I started watching Ergo Proxy. It's quite amazing so far. I'm really interested in the storyline. Kind of a strange one, but a great anime so far. It has kind of a different feel than most other shows I've seen.
I'm still watching Black Butler, about 2/3 of they way through the first series, and I absolutely love it. The characters are so weird and completely insane! Plus I love the fact that it's set in Victorian England, it provides a whole different atmosphere to the series.
I think, after this, I'm going to move onto Full Metal Alchemist, however I'm not exactly sure where to start. Brotherhood or the original. I've heard one follows the manga and one has it's own story but the beginnings are pretty similar. Is this true? Should I watch both? or just one? Also where do the films come into this?

FMA is deifinitely a must, Palladion! I am sure you're going to love it!
Brotherhood follows the manga, it is AWESOME and really moving. The first one has its plot a bit changed, but it's quite interesting. As far as I can remember, the beginnings are the same up to some point(I think the manga wasn't completed before, when the first anime was made and they just tried to follow the manga and then decided to just change it?). I only know of one film: The Conqueror of Shamballa which I have seen many years before, when the second anime didn't even exist. The action in the movie is set two years after the first anime.
It's only up to you if you want to watch both. I think both are great animes. The second is really great to watch, but I'm not saying you shouldn't watch the first one! I loved both. :)
The first version of FMA follows the manga until around episodes 20 then it goes in a completely different direction, which isn't a bad thing as they managed to come up with pretty damn good story in my opinion. I'd start with the original version and then move on to brotherhood as while they're both very good brotherhood probably has a stronger story and certainly a better villain and they always say save the best for last :P
Also while the first half of the original anime and brotherhood follow the manga they cover different side stories and when they do both cover the same arc they do it slightly differently so you won't have to watch the same thing twice.
Bottom line both are fantastic anime and well worth a watch :)

I still think the world would be better off without me Some people, when they hit rock bottom, they dont have that person in their lives to pick them back up The mirror can lie, it doesnt show you whats on the inside. I dont think im fixed, people think that your like a car in a body shop, you go in, they fix you and your out, you work like your brand new, it doesnt work like that at all Sometimes i dont understand my self. Im not strong enough and im tired of pretending i am.
I just finished watching Angel Beats and I loved it though the ending did make me cry. There's lots of speculations about life and God and it's really thought-provoking and..I just loved it!! :D
