yes, most ED units will not take you unless your medically stable as they do not have provisions to look after all physical risks. I remember i wasn't going to get a bed if my white blood cell count hadn't been raised. Luckily it did but had it not i would have been kept in the general infirmary until i was physically stable.

Also, after having my initial assessment i was just put on the waiting list until a bed became free (which was over a month wait). If you were not ill enough you would not be refered for assessment so rest assured you will be more than likely to be given a bed, it might just be a case of waiting for the bed to become free. The initial assessment is more a chance for them to meet you and see if you are willing to engage in treatment rather than anything else.

goodluck for friday it does sound to me they will be given you a bed or the pct wudnt pay out for an assesment they will have most of your history from your care notes etc im sure you be fine do you know whats the unit called?

You really do deserve this treatment, don't be thinking about "iller" people, you have to think about yourself and your own recovery. They wouldn't be assessing you if they thought you didn't need IP treatment, you are ill enough and you will get it. So be completely honest with them about everything.

Helen i understand your ED makes it so you cant really see this.

But i stand by that you are ill enough.

You are very ill.

Without wishing to scare or upset you or anybody else or say anything inappropriate i dont genuinely worry and have grave concern about if someones gonna live or die on numerous occasions unless i really need to.
