I hate his baseball wearing self, saw a Liverpool fan say he wants Pulis to replace Rodgers! Jesus wept.
Not sure if he will be much better though, mid table finish and hard to beat. It's not my 60 quid being given to watch hoofball though!
I think Pulis is direct, but I wouldn't say Palace played a lot of hoofball under him. Warnock is far, far worse for that. Pulis is a very good head coach, but I don't think he's a great manager.

The same Steve Clarke that was Kenny's number 2? I find it odd how the likes of Warnock get these job on a regular basis as let's be honest, he hasn't done great things.
Makes me glad to have Rodgers. I may be biased as I love the guy but not many British coaches are as continental as him. Oh well.

The story goes that Steve Parish was going to appoint Warnock as manager with ex-Palace player and current Notts County boss Shaun Derry as assistant, to take over at the end of this season from Warnock. However, Derry asked for too much money so Parish went to appoint Clarke.
Warnock told Parish some stuff about Clarke and then told him to phone West Brom goalkeeper Dean Kiely (who used to play under Warnock at Sheffield United and Leeds), then Kiely backed up his version of events, which was that Clarke had lost the dressing room - for various reasons which I can't disclose as that would be libellous - and thus Parish appointed Warnock.
I think with Palace, Warnock was appointed because Parish preferred someone who knew the club and had some sort of affection to the club, Warnock obviously having previously managed us from 08-10 fit the bill. Earns a lot more than he should though.
I like Brendan Rodgers, but his tactics have been too rigid and teams have worked Liverpool out. You can have the best attack in the world, but if you leave yourself so open to counter attacks then you're always going to be vulnerable - especially to teams lower down the table who break quickly. His record in the transfer market with Liverpool is abysmal as well; how much of that is down to him is another matter mind you.

I agree with how he wants to play and that it will leave you open at the back but the defence atm are playing like kids. Very Keegan esque.
There seems to be a power struggle at Anfield between The board and Rodgers. Not sure if you read the article Im The Echo. I prefer the old way of the manager is in charge and the owners sign the cheques.
