Saw the highlights of the Liverpool game, to be honest they were lucky to win and the miss from Ballotelli was a joke. Dunne being the main guy to have own goals poor bastard.
It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.
I missed all but the last five minutes of Paderborn vs Frankfurt yesterday (busy with homework all day), Paderborn managed to win 3-1. Today the newspapers are saying that if they keep playing the way they are, they might very well end up in the Champions League next year. It's honestly like the Mighty Ducks or something; a ragtag team of misfits from a backwater town taking the world by storm.
I just wish Dortmund were doing half as well. They're doing nicely in the Champions League but at home they're just getting their asses handed to them by inferior teams week in, week out.
Mourinho's press officer decided to ignore me when I put my hand up to ask a question, in favour of established journos. Someone asked the original question anyway - about the Fabregas yellow (should have been red) card.
He was actually quite boring to listen to, apart from at the very beginning when he wrote that his team needed "Big balls" to beat Palace, when last season he wrote they were lacking "balls" when they lost to us.
Asked Warnock a couple of questions about Zaha though.
Brendan Rodgers was pretty dour when I asked him a question about whether he thought Palace could have gone on to win the game at 'Crystanbul' in the 3-3 draw last season.
I despise Chelsea though, there are no redeeming features about that club bought on dodgy money. I can say that without it being libellous because it was mentioned in open court. Google Matthew Syed Sky Sports Chelsea.
Man United with a late equaliser against West Brom tonight. Saido Berahino is an excellent player and superb finisher. Should be in the England squad but he plays for WBA so has no chance.

Salazar do you work for the written press or for a sports network? don't answer if you don't want to. I guess getting to actually meet these guys must be cool at first, but then after a while you realise they're human just like us. have you ever got to interview any foreign managers? How about Pardew? I'm a Newcastle fan btw.

I do and I don't. I cover Palace's post-match stuff for a local paper and I write for a Palace fanzine, broke some transfer stories in the summer (Sigurdsson bid accepted, Zaha back on loan). I write a column for said paper and now I'm doing a journalism postgrad too (not specifically sports).
I've not actually interviewed any foreign managers one-to-one, but I was in Pochettino's press conference for Palace vs Southampton. He had an interpreter despite speaking excellent English. Didn't want to be misquoted apparently.
Sadly I've not interviewed Pardew, but I expect he will be the next Palace boss from what I've heard. We tried to get him before when you almost sacked him. Heard some very dodgy stuff about him but can't post as it is defamatory and I have no hard evidence. Would like to interview him, was in the pub when he walked in once... but had nipped to the loo so missed him! He has a house near where I live, but I don't know exactly where.
Actually, I met him when I was working at SportsDirect a couple of years ago. Served him but he didn't buy anything.
It wasn't ever actually that big for me, I suppose because I have the numbers of all four Palace owners and speak to one of them regularly (he asked me to come and sit next to him in the Directors' Box so that I could tell HIM who the players were!) it's a bit normalised now.
I interviewed Gareth Southgate, that was really cool, he is a very good bloke and apparently was very impressed with me!
I think I am more star-struck as it is with players. Did work exp at the local paper and phoned my favourite player Jonny Parr, my heart was beating so fast, I was so nervous! He didn't pick up sadly. It's quite fun interviewing players, but transcribing the interviews isn't haha.

Since you are close to Palace why did they get rid of Pulis. He saved you guys last season. As much as I hate his style of play and tactics. And about Pardew I've heard some weird things too. Was told a manager that is quite liked is horrible behind the scenes. Couldn't figure out if he meant Malky or Pardew.
He and Steve Parish (one of the owners, co(executive) chairman basically fell out. Pulis wanted complete control, Parish wanted complete control, naturally Parish won. But Pulis took a bonus early and resigned two hours after it had cleared. He had told Palace throughout the summer that he was happy at the club (even though he wasn't).
I didn't like Pulis and although I respect his managerial ability he can't manage a club, he can manage a team but not a club. I wrote a 1500 word piece about it for my fanzine, some people agreed completely, some disagreed completely! Funny game.
I think he meant both Malky and Pardew. I was told about the Malky and Moody stuff a few months before the press leaked it. Didn't really believe it at first but obviously it was true. There's definitely more to it than was reported though.
Sadly I lost a lot of money and I mean a lot of money betting on Mackay and then Steve Clarke to be the next Palace boss. Clarke would have won me £320 off the back of a £15 bet! We were close to appointing him but then Warnock told Parish some stuff, told him to phone Dean Kiely and check it out, so Parish did and Kiely confirmed it. Looks like all football managers have some stuff in the closet!
Do you ever make it to Newcastle games? Loved the Coloccini song when you came to our place in the cup.

I'm a Liverpool fan no. Haven't been to Anfield in years. Too expensive when you have a young family. I really detest Warnock, I remember him complaining about Rafa resting players for a game. Or something I forget. He still goes on about it today!
Oops sorry my bad, remembered quoting planemo who is a Newcastle fan!
Yeah Warnock is a manager you (usually) love when he's at your club but hate if he isn't. I don't like him but fortunately he'll be gone soon.
Kelly is doing very well, had a superb start. Failed his medical but we still bought him. You're the only person outside of my friends who I've told that to so feel honoured cos it's not public knowledge ;) Warnock said he should be playing for England which was hilarious. He didn't play so well the other week but players aren't superhuman. But yeah love him, he's doing really well. Cracking signing, cheap at £1.5m and wages probably not astronomical either.
Warnock was charged for his comments at the weekend about the ref, which were understandable but his moaning gets a bit boring tbh.
Totally understand that it's too expensive to go to football, I try to go to the cheaper away days. Palace charged £45 for a game the other day, sad to see what's happened to my club really.
I wrote an article about how supporting a football club really has helped my mental health and five national journalists retweeted it! I'll copy the content onto a post on here if anyone wants to read it?

Is it just me who didn't think Lamela's goal was worth all the hoo-ha that it has received?

That's pretty cool. I would love to be so closely linked to a Premier league club.
You guys can take Pardew. I'm not a fan of his or Mike Ashley. If I ran the club I'd get Di Matteo, and I wish he'd not gone to Schalke. Pardew is too defensive and even when we win, we do so by the odd goal and have to rely on a lot of luck not conceding. But I just hope they can keep winning no matter how they play, and even if he's manager. It's just a matter of time before he's sacked, I think. There's no way he'll see out his 8 year contract. I was just wondering what he's like to interview. A lot of fans say he's conceited, but I don't really see it myself, when he's interviewed.
Unfortunately I've never been to St James' Park, since I live in the Southern Hemisphere.
I am so out of touch, I don't know anyone ye are talking about and I miss all the games. Salazar, your job sound amazing and the best of luck with it. That could open massive doors for you down the line.

I wrote a reply and lost it. I didn't get to see it and i was agreeing that their defence is shocking. They have not conceded in la liga yet until this game. I could see this happening, that Barca would lose their strong hold cos no team could keep winning like them, it is not possible. I don't think they have done great in the CL either. In the last five years anyway Barcelona would have won most of the El Classicos but things seem to be slipping big time.

Wasn't allowed to be shown in England because of the kick off time I think.
Palace are being taken over by a US Billionaire

Have to say I am getting sick of glory hunters and hipster football fans. The amount of bile directed towards Rodgers and the players is vile. Have hated the way football has gone since Sky Sports changed everything.
