You actually play as a human xD but your neighbours are animals. It's a life simulator, it has Christmas and Easter and celebrates your birthday. Pretty much has all the holidays in it. It's a awesome laid back game. You buy a house and can make it bigger. Gradually the neighbours leave your town, but you can ask them to stay if you really like them, and new animals move in to take their place. You can talk to them and do tasks for them. Send them letters, give them gifts that you buy in the shops, you can do your hair, change all your clothes. There's over 600 items in the game so you'll never get bored. I love it.

I have a 3ds but I haven't played it for ages. I have theme park and Paddington unopened. The only time that I tend to play is when I am IP. I have about 20 ds games on my amazon wishlist though.
