Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

and a tip i wanted to share:
when you feel like si-ing, write scripture on your skin.
i tried it the other day.
I was really upset, and i just didn't have the strength to resist, so I wrote "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" on my wrist.
and also, I thought it might also work to put notecards with scripture where you keep your sharp objects.
Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

Salanna, that video does hit close to home. It was very well dont though, and I think a lot of us I have said we can't lay our bags down many times before, I know I have said that.
salanna, i love the idea of writing scripture on ourselves...i've done that before but i forgot about it. originally i used henna when i wanted to cut, but that got expensive so i switched to washable marker, and from there words started to work themselves in...it's easier to not destroy artwork :)
salanna and ph1sh, what do you think we should do? i could probably make a signature banner if you want, but what should go on it?
my church has a women's retreat in october, and i'm thinking about going. it would be awkward to room with the people i would be with, and $140 for the weekend, so i'm not sure. but i've always found that it pays to take time away specifically to listen to god. what do you guys think, should i go?
also...a missionary i know is in orissa at the moment (india) and recently sent a mass email out asking the churches that sponsor him to find everyone they can and have them pray. many pastors over there are being killed, 3 in the past few days alone...
i say yes to the banner. keep it straight up front what it is

I love the idea of a banner, that would be really cool :)
on the baggage video: That hit home with me too, for the longest time I had trouble laying my baggage at Jesus' feet. I still have issues with holding on to some of my baggage. It is a really well done skit.
I have offically joined Chi Alpha on my campus. It is not a frat.
The name Chi Alpha comes from the first letters in Greek for Christ's Ambassadors. I am going to do my first real bible study. Could someone like give me an overview of what to expect from a bible study?
“The good things don’t always soften the bad, but vice-versa, the bad things don’t necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant.”
“Nobody important? Blimey, that’s amazing. Do you know, in nine hundred years of time and space I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important before.”
“If it’s time to go, remember what you’re leaving. Remember the best. My friends have always been the best of me.”

i'm thinking about a statement of intent for the banner. so, fill in the blanks!
"as a member of the unofficial prayer team..."
-i will pray for anyone who asks.
-my heart and my PM box are open.
-i am willing to answer questions.
-very few things will surprise me.
-i will listen and not judge.
etc, etc. what is important to have on the banner? i think if we have certain things we commit to, we can list those on the banner. so, what do we want to commit to? what do you think is important to see on this banner?

Hey, I have been away from RYL for a few months but I'd love to be part of the prayer team. I love the banner you have suggested.
God has delivered me from SH, I gave my life to Jesus and I have not SH since, Praise the Lord.
I'm sure God has bought me back here tonight for a reason, I was just chatting to someone and it came up on conversation that she was a Christian and I knew then God wanted me to pray for her.
Anyway, I'm waffling. Let me know if/when you set this up and I'll be a part of it.
Liz
will someone do me a favor and check the rules? i can't get to them for some reason, and i want to make sure this is OK. that being said...right click and save the banner :) should I make something smaller? I don't want to take up all your signature space...
hmm can you guys pray for me =\ im trying to remind myself that recovery's worth it..

Recovery is worth it and will pray for you tonight. Maybe read over the list on here that lists the reason to revoer, to give yourself some motivation.
Can you all pray that I get this job, had a interview today, and got a trial on wednesday. I really need this job.
