The Doctor Who Movie with the8th Doctor is regarded as canon, well most of it anyhow.
Such as the 8th doctor is the one who rebuilt the sonic screw driver and the Master ultimately died by being sucked into the eye of harmony. Until the Timelords resurrected him and we know what happened from there.
And to a lesser extent I think they took that the appearence of the Tardis can undergo major changes; compare the Tardis in the Movie to the Tardis that used to be in the series and than compare it to the New Tardis design. I think the creators of the New Who took it that the Tardis interior can be chaged if the owner wishes, just like changing a desktop theme. (which was also hinted at in the children in need special)

Did the 8th Doctor rebuild it? cos he certainly didnt in the film cos the kid had it because the nurse gave him the Doctor's pocessions when he died so like the 7th Doctor had a sonic screwdriver and I know the 4th Doctor Tom Baker definately did cos I am watching the invasion of time atm and I saw him use it in that.

it was destroyed during Tom Baker's time. it became too much of a shortcut for the writers. A bit of trouble, use the sonic screwdriver.

I watched the finale of season 2 new Who,
I'd forgotten this was when the doctor started saying Allonzee (forget how to spell it)
And he expressed a desire to meet someone named Alonso so he could say "Alonzee Alonso"
I'd completely forgotten about that.

David Tennant has been offered a £1.5 million deal to stay on as Doctor Who, according to The Sun.
The BBC had feared he could depart the role after filming four special episodes. The broadcaster has reportedly tabled a "massive bid" to persuade the actor to continue as the Time Lord for the fifth series, scheduled to air in 2010.
A source revealed that Tennant will decide on his future after he meets with new executive producer Steven Moffatt.
"It will be a new team and David has to meet everyone to make a final decision," the insider said. "But we're gearing up to offer him a massive deal. He's interested. Everyone thought he was going, but it’s not as open and shut as that."
Tennant, who recently completed filming on the Christmas special, will shortly star in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet.

If i remember it was actually something like 40 minutes. the make up department put it on a large face-mask transfer, like a tempory tattoo for the head. still took time to put it on and make sure it was on properly.
but my memory isn't perfect on that so don't hold me to it.
