Well they did; the BBC just didn't want to pay the extra for the film to be colourised. not for a series they didn't think would last or be popular enough to be repeated.
they didn't even keep all the tapes in storage. Hence the many Lost Episodes. there will be some of those black and white episodes that will be the audio of the episode; they kept that, then then it will be a slideshow of pictures taken on the set and they took a lot of pictures. Probably for publicity. If there's any surviving footage that's in there too but mostly it's a slide show. it's not too bad once you get into it. Kind of like listening to an audiobook, but with pictures. if that makes sense.

well the latin came out as celtic because Donna came from England since English didn't exist back then they heard the equivalent that existed in the time line; the language being spoken in England: Celtic. they also thought the doctor spoke welsh because he speaks english too.
When the doctor speaks French i think this: To people without the tardis translation thing in their head probably hear French but a French person would hear English, or Celtic if you went far back in time enough. to people with it, they hear french because that's the language he conciously intends to speak. the tardis and it's translations are nothing if not clever.

well each time lord was only supposed to have 13 regenerations. but there's only one time lord now, so maybe the doctor has gained a lot more?
But Russel T Davis did say in an interview it was easy enough to fix, "just wave the crystal of whatever and it's sorted." something like that.

Oh on the what do people hear when the Doctor says "Allons-y" bit then everyone probably just hears it as "allons-y" no matter what language they hear the Doctor speaking in they just hear it as allons-y not their language equivalent. Oh and the french would hear it as allons-y but of course they'd understand what it meant :P
Oh and about the regenerations, obviously they will ignore the 13 thing (well if we are lucky enough for it to still be going by the time there is a need for a 14th doctor) but really the 12 regenerations (13 lives) was a figure that could have been set by the Time Lords themselves just because they had to die somewhen. Or maybe because the Eye of Harmony which was the key to the Time Lords power which was on gallifrey was destroyed when Gallifrey was destroyed thus meaning there is now no limit on regenerations (the eye of harmony may be the crystal thing Russell T Davies was reffering to) though if that was true logically that means that because thats destroyed (eye of harmony)then the power of the Time Lords has gone and that would mean the Doctor wouldnt have the ability to continue to regenerate or to travel through time, but obviously that can't be true because he continues to travel through time. Oh and also the Eye of Harmony hasnt been confirmed destroyed...

The eye of harmony was the nucleus of a black hole sealed up below the time lord citadel. In the 1996 doctor who movie, which made the only appearence of the 8th doctor the eye was deep inside the Tardis. or at the very least, it was a link to the eye and it's power.
Russel and the other makers do take the movie into account because that movie showed the return of the sonic screwdriver, which carried over to the series.
So now I think the eye of harmony is somewhere deep inside the tardis. One of it's many basements.

Ah yes yes but the Eye of Harmony in the '96 movie was used to power the Tardis, but now the Tardis needs to get its power from the rift in Cardiff which suggests that maybe the Tardis isnt powered by the eye of harmony at all.
And anyway they used to use the Sonic Screwdriver in the classic series so saying that the new Who is faithful completely to the '96 movie (in which the doctor said he was half human on his mothers side) because they got the sonic screwdriver from that is a bit naive. Well maybe not naive but I cant think of a better word, sorry.

I do admit many things in the 96 movie have to be disregarded. but it was about as good as you can expect considering the american's were the one's who made it.
It's not just the rift that powers the tardis, it gathers it from all over the universe, black holes, dying stars, nebula's and so forth.
but i think the 8th doctor has to be counted as the one who brought back the sonic screwdriver. he had other adventures on books and a radio series, so he does count to me.

I just had a thought how the Cybermen could come back for the Xmas special.
During Journey's End Rose said something about even the void being dead. Which was why she could travel between the parallel worlds.
Perhaps when the void was destroyed everything inside of it fell out and was scattered through space and time; which could be how the cybermen have come back.
It also means that there are probably more daleks out there to watch out for.

Going back to thirteen lives the other theory is that when he used the chameleon arch to turn human then back he got a new set of regenerations. Either way i quess theyll write round it.
Im not sure how many people count the films as canon tho
Oh yea I forgot about that Proms thing its basically Doctor Who music and some other things and t'is being hosted by Freema Agyeman. David Tennant was doing that mini-scene because he can't be there but he wanted to take part.
