Yea I found it, thanks. Oh I am reading a classic Doctor Who book that I got free with the Doctor Who Magazine this month called Doctor Who and the Cybermen by Gerry Davis, tis actually much better than the new Doctor Who books i have read for some reason.

well with the classic WHO books there was less of a mythology with the doctor. they had a much wider scope to work with around the characters.

then again, maybe you just have a weakness for the classics?

Yea :P Oh I also started watching The Invasiojn of Time, have only watch episode 1 of 6 so far but that is good too. Tom Baker is a good Doctor! Oh I have also started lsitening to the Doctor Who audio book read by David Tennant called Pest Control, and I am still reading Doctor Who and the Cybermen and I watched Planet of the Ood om BBC3 at 7pm today... yea I miss Doctor Who not being on tv anymore (well not new episodes) :|

and hmmm i might abandon hartnell for the moment, not that its no good but you do have to be in the mood to concentrate throught he poor sound/ picture quality, especially in black and white.

And yea Hartnell's stuff os ok, but my god its bad quality oh and Susan pisses me off (though it depends on how early you are watching hartnell cos i think she left somewhen when he was the Doctor)

Yeah Susan left after the Daleks invasion of earth. She left for the same reasons; she didn't like the character either.
She expected to be more like a female version of the doctor, perhaps a little more naive but she would know some stuff. instead she just got into trouble and screamed a lot.
I know what you mean about the black and white and the quality. but you have to understand the problems they faced back then. Doctor Who had to be done in one take because they couldn't afford the extra film and had was filmed in the smallest studio the BBC owned with no air conditioning.

Little factoid: the studio would get so hot the sprinklers would go off.

I like to think of them as great classics. They had a quality of writing that was lost toward the end of the eighties but has been regained in this new series.
