Chapter 217
A few hours later, Amy had gone saying she needed some rest. Bill sighed and looked up as the doors leading to the theatre open and watched the doctors wheel out someone and take them into another ward. He looked up at the sign that was above the doors to the ward they wheeled the patient into.
Intensive Care.
Bill reached over and pressed the button to call the nurse.
A minute later a nurse came over to his bed.
"Yes?" she said smiling.
"Sorry but was that my brother who just came out of theatre?" He had to ask, he needed to know.
"Yes that was" she said smiling whilst checking Bills monitors
"How he is?" he asked biting his lip.
"The surgery went well, there was a few complications he lost quite a bit of blood but we managed to find the closest match possible, you see your brother has a rare blood type that we haven’t seen before, so we had to find a blood that matched it as near as we could. We have put him in intensive care so we can keep an eye on him so that if his body rejects the blood and generally keep an eye on him. But at the minute his vital signs are picking up so we think things are looking hopeful" she said smiling "we will inform you if anything happens"
"Thank you" said Bill cracking a small smile "when can I see him?"
"Not yet, he hasn’t woken up properly from the anaesthetic, we will let you know when you can" she said "Ok I’ll leave you to get some rest"
The nurse left the room but the door stayed open because Amy came into the room.
"Hey" she said smiling
"Hey" Bill replied cracking a large smile when he saw his girlfriend come into the room.
"How are you feeling?" she asked taking a seat next to his bed
"a bit better, my head still hurts a bit"
"Aw atleast its getting better" she said kissing the bandage on his head
"Yeah, Toms come out of theatre"
"Is he ok?" Amy asked concerned
"Yeh, they had to give him a blood transfusion because he lost a lot of blood, but they said the couldn’t find a match because they have never seen his blood type before so they gave him one they could match the closet, hes in intensive care now but hasn’t woken up yet" Bill said, he really wanted to see his brother.
Amy giggled "I guess they have never had to deal with a vampire before?"
Bill laughed "Nope, hes going to be really hungry when he wakes up, aswell as weak. How the hell are we going to feed him?"
"I have no idea, we’ll find a way though" said Amy smiling "right you, get some sleep and I’ll come back later with the twins"
"See you later" Bill said smiling
Amy kissed Bill gently on the lips before leaving the ward. When Amy disappeared round a corner Bill let out a sigh and slid down his bed so he was lying down. The pillows were still up and made his neck hurt, but he didn’t have any energy to move them.
All he could think about was his brother in the next ward. He needed to see him, he needed to see how he was doing.
He feel asleep thinking about Tom and how he was going to see him.
A few hours later he woke up, he looked out the window that was near his bed. It was night now and there was less nurses on the ward. His mind went back to Tom.
Now was the perfect chance to go and see him.
Quietly he sat up, his head throbbing from the position he had fallen asleep in. He gently got out of his bed and started to walk across the room towards the wooden doors. It only took him a few minutes to reach them considering they were on the otherside of the ward. He looked through the windows in the doors to see if he could see Tom.
And there in the corner was the familiar dreads sprawled across the crisp white pillow. Bill gently opened the door and quietly walked over to the bed that contained his brothers sleeping form.
Bill sat down in the chair situated next to the bed and looked at his brother. He looked so pale and weak. Bill gently took his brothers hand and squeezed it.
"Come on bro, I know you can make it" Bill whispered.
He felt his twins had squeeze his. Bill wiped his eyes and looked up at his brother’s face.
Tom moved his head from side to side before his eyes fluttered open.
"Tom?" asked Bill standing up slightly
"Hey bro" whispered Tom.

Chapter 218
Gerard looked anxiously at Frank. There was no way they could risk going back inside. Gerard wouldn’t be the only one in trouble now. Frank had lied which meant Frank would be in trouble too and what about Jaidon? If they got found out, there’d be no way they could keep him but Frank wasn’t right at all and Gerard was torn between what was the right thing to do and what was best for them as a family.
“Frank, what do you want me to do? If we go back in then…”
“I know Gee, I know. We need to find someone to look after Jaidon, and then we can sort me out.”
Gerard thought hard. Every one of their friends was inside and all pretty much hated him right now for what he’d done to Tom so he couldn’t leave Jaidon with any of them. The only person who’d been half decent towards them was his brother. But that was only because he had to, it wasn’t through choice.
“Frank, why don’t you go in and I’ll try and sort Jaidon out and then come back for you.”
“No Gee. I don’t want you to go. Look we’ll just go home. I’ll be okay, I promise.”
Gerard stared at him intently for a couple of minutes and watched as Frank tried (and failed) to hide his pain.
“No, forget it, we’re going back in.”
Frank looked at him horrified”
“No Frankie, you being ill is more important.”
“But Gee, Jaidon.” Frank had tears in his eyes as he said it and Gerard knew what Frank was thinking. He glanced out of the window and saw their mothers heading back across the car park to leave.
“I know what we can do; we just need to get there without being seen.”
Gerard carefully took Jaidon out of the car and handed him to Frank for a second, before grabbing the glasses he’d worn when they’d visited their parents before. It probably wouldn’t work but he had to try. He pulled his hoodie up and put the glasses on before taking Jaidon back and putting his free arm around Frank to support him as the walked in. They managed to make it back to where they were before without being seen and Gerard turned to Frank,
“Frankie, stay here, I’ll be back in a second I promise.”
Frank nodded and watched Gerard enter the room.
Mikey looked up as he heard the door open. They half expected it to be Amy since she was seeing Bill and they guessed she’d be back soon but it wasn’t.
“Gerard what the **** are you doing in here?”
“Please, I wouldn’t ask but it’s Frank, he’s ill and he needs to see someone and if we get caught I’d rather Jaidon wasn’t there to see.”
“We’ll look after jaidon for you don’t worry,” Said Hannah taking the sleeping baby from him,
Mikey glared at her and she carried on quickly, “It doesn’t mean we agree with what you did though or that we forgive you for it.”
“Thanks, both of you.” Said Gerard before running out of the room and leaving with Frank.
They went over to the other side of the hospital in the hope they wouldn’t be seen. Frank’s pains had gotten worse since they’d got here which meant they were seen quicker. He lay down while the nurse examined him, asking him questions while Gerard listened but kept an eye on everyone who was going past.
“How long have you had the pains for?”
“They started a couple of hours ago.” Said Frank nervously,
“Any other illness or just stomach pains?”
“Well, I’ve been sick for a couple of days and I blacked out earlier..>”
Gerard looked at Frank after he said the last thing,
“Right, we’ll have to do more tests, possibly scans and x-rays to see what we can find.”
Frank nodded and watched as the nurse left the room,
“Frankie, you didn’t black out earlier, I…”
“No Gee, you didn’t hit me, you reached out for me, I stepped back to get away from you and fell, you tried to grab me but you weren’t quick enough.”
“But, Ray and Mikey said…and…you’ve got a bruise and…”
“It probably looked like that to them. I probably hit my head when I fell but I know for a fact you didn’t hit me.”
Gerard felt tears in his eyes but he was so glad he hadn’t hurt Frank any more. He reached out and wrapped his arms around him gently.
“I’m so sorry about everything Frankie. Sometimes I don’t know why you stick around with me.”
“Because I love you Gee, I know things are tough and we have our problems…well…big problems this time, but I won’t ever leave you, I promise.”
“I love you to Frankie and I’d never hurt you or Jaidon and I’ll never leave you. I’ll make things ok, I don’t know how I’ll do it but I’ll make things better.”
“I know Gee, I know you will.”
Just then the nurse came back in,
“We’re going to do scans first because normally if it’s a problem with your stomach or the surrounding area, a scan will pick up most causes.”
Frank nodded and Gerard squeezed his hand as the nurse took them to the department.
Lmao.
I can't decide between Bill or Tom. They're both so damn hot. I have made a wall dedicated to the twins in my room ahaha.
