Chapter 216
Frank turned around quickly and came face to face with his fiancée.
“Gee, you’re not supposed to be in here!”
Gerard didn’t answer; he just glared at everyone in the room. As far as he was concerned, right now, they were pissed off with him so he didn’t have any reason to be civil to them. He still wasn’t thinking logically, largely down to the fact he was still a little under the influence, which wasn’t helping matters.
“I’m just here to get you and Jaidon then we’re going.”
“You’re not coming anywhere near Jaidon or my son for that matter.” Said Frank’s mother protectively.
Frank let them argue between themselves. Everyone was concentrating on the two and Jaidon was left unattended. Frank saw the perfect opportunity. He edged closer and closer to his son. He glanced up to make sure he was still unwatched and realised both Hannah and Mikey had noticed. Frank looked at them, pleading with his eyes for them not to say anything. Mikey opened his mouth but Hannah elbowed him quite hard and gave him a warning glare. He knew this wasn’t a good time to piss her off and as much as he hated his brother right now, Frank hadn’t done anything wrong. They both watched until Frank had Jaidon safe in his arms before turning their attention to their own baby. Frank got back by Gerard’s side before their mothers even noticed Jaidon was with them.
“Frank what the hell are you thinking? He’s no good for you. He’s hit you, what else do you think he’s capable of?” Asked his mother frantically.
Frank handed Jaidon to Gerard before turning back to her,
“When are you gonna quit telling me how to live my life? You can’t tell me what to do anymore. You can’t control me. I always thought you were better than dad was but now I can see you aren’t. You’re just as controlling as he is. You’re just as happy to ruin my life as he was. This is all I want. Just me, Jaidon and Gerard. I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks. I know Gerard would never intentionally hurt me or Jaidon and that’s enough for me.”
They both turned to leave but their exit was blocked by two security guards. The taller one of the two looked Gerard up and down before nodding to his partner,
“Yeah I think this is him.”
Him what?” Asked Frank in mock surprise. He gave Gerard a meaningful look. If they were gonna pull this off then they both needed to be clear on things.
“There was a stabbing earlier this evening and we believe you’re responsible.” Said the other security guard, looking directly at Gerard.
“He can’t have been. He was with me earlier. He was getting me from the train station.”
Gerard glanced at Frank before nodding in agreement, “Yeah, I was.”
“So you know nothing about a Mr Kaulitz being stabbed then?” Asked the first, almost as if trying to catch him out, “Because he’s seriously ill. He’s in surgery right now; it’s not looking very good.”
Gerard paled slightly and for a second, Frank thought he was going to give them away.
“I didn’t know, sorry.” Said Gerard quietly, looking at the floor.
“Okay then, we’ll just check the security cameras and then you can be on your way.” Smirked the other guard.
The two of them talked quietly for a minute before the taller one headed off, leaving the other one to keep an eye on them.
Surely this was it, if they had got the fight on camera then Gerard would be seriously in trouble and everyone knew it. Gerard glanced at Frank and then back at the security guard. Surely it would look a lot better if he just owned up now. Before he had chance, a call came through on the guards’ radio and he hurried off, without giving Gerard and Frank a second glance. They took their opportunity and headed straight for the exit. Gerard hadn’t park too far away and within a few minutes they were back in the car. They got Jaidon settled in his car seat before getting ready to head off. Gerard was just about to start the car when Frank doubled over in pain, clutching his stomach.
