try some ginger biscuits for the nausea. drink loads of water as it will dilute the meds in your tummy.

Ginger tea is also good for nausea.
We got our pram delivered the other day and have ordered a new wood floor, hopefullly it will get fitted in time!
Time is flying way too quickly, I'm starting to get terrified by everything now, am over due for my 34 week check up but the damn GP has nothing free till the 30th. I might call up and get an emergency apt on Mon morning, just so I can get my blood pressure checked, is that wrong?

Nah they don't do open surgery, but keep some apts for emergencies every morning. My midwife did the 30 week check, then it's meant to be the GP for the 34 and the Midwife for the 36. It differs between areas though.
I think it's a good idea to stay where you are and try and save a bit of money, also having his mum there might offer some extra support.
I finish work on the 9th, so not long to go now, have a big review on Wed though, I'm a bit nervous! it can't go to bad though, my boss offered me a better position for when I return so she must want me to go back.

i had my midwife the whole way, then at 10weeks, 32, 35, 37 weeks i saw the hospital team - consultant and midwife but i think that's coz i was high risk, i had consultant led care.

Staying where you are to save is a good idea! my fiance and I are staying where we are for at least another year and a half (with my grandmother) to save money for a deposit for a house. So we'll be in a good place hopefully when we start trying to get pregnant.

I see my consultant more than my midwife... I've only seen a midwife twice, once when I ofund out I was pregnant and she took my history, and once when I made an appointment cos of my hips/back hurting.

But then, like Mand, I'm considered 'high risk'... cos I'm a nutter lol.

Speaking of which, in 3 weeks I get referred to the Crazy Mothers' Club... a support unit I can use til baby is a year old.

I don't know if this is different to you or not, but because I had to go to hospital last year for a cut, the self harm is on my records, so maybe that influenced it.

Hi guys
Just found this thread
I'm Helena, nearly 23 and my baby is Madeleine, nearly 14months.

Raven, I've got a pic of Madeleine's remarkably similar to the one in your avator!

Madeleine's great, she's just getting over an ear infection. She's just learnt to walk but the ear infection's set her back a bit because it's affected her balance. And she's teething - four molars coming through at once!

If I were a bird - fish
My wings I would spread
I'd swoop over you
And plop on your head.

Oww! Is teething hell? I'm glad she's getting over her ear infection now.

Welcome to vets by the way, I don't remember seeing you around before.

Hi Helena! *waves*

Berni - my friend used Pampers with her son and said they leaked... however I'm sure lots of people use them so maybe it's just that he's a podgy baby!

All nappies leak.
I've only ever used pampers and huggies for Esmé.
She's leaked through both of them. It happens.
But it's pretty rare, so i wouldn't worry too much about it.
I've used pampers for the last few months as i find them to be a good fit for my daughter.

You could try the Asda ones and she how you get on with them, but try not to get too many packs too early in case you don't like them.

I started out with asda's own brand, which were fine, and then I moved onto pampers, and now use those as well as 'eco' nappies and reusables - you can always buy a packet of each and see which suits you best. Pretty much all brands I've used have leaked at one time or another, but different brands suit different babies.

I have used asda and tescos before and found both fine. I hate pampers personally as they leak on mine (maybe they wee too much!lol)

lol or how little time you mean :p
i dont know what it is about my baby, but her nappies leak regularly! not pee...but poo...it ends up on her clothes sometimes. i thought it was my nappy skills at first, now i realise it happens sometimes no matter who puts her nappy on, including health visitor. it happens sometimes even when the nappy isnt that full - she just seems to poo squint, but that might be something to do with her hip. the pediatrician in the hospital who checked her over before discharging her told me she had a clicky hip, he didnt think it required physio but mention it at the 6-8 week check up. she had that today and the doc said she wasnt so concerned about the clicking, but more that when you straighten freyja's legs, the creases are not the same, so her legs seem uneven. jamie had mentioned to me a few days ago that one leg seemed bigger than the other. so she is being referred to the childrens hospital, probably just end up with some physio, i dont think its much to worry about.
helena, i think its one of those pics that every parent has lol, taken in the first few hours of birth in the wee hospital cot! hehe
