So.... we were beaten by the cheese-eating surrender-monkeys again?
At least we came JOINT last this time.
I never had tiem to watch the acts, but just watched the results... from what I saw Greece had a ncie act though.
It's a shame that half of the countries are part of the little circle of balkan countries voting for eachother, or are trying to bum up to Russia to avoid being invaded (again, in most cases :-P); meaning that there is NO way that Britain can EVER win

I'm quite pleased with the outcome. I actually think the political voting wasnt that strong tonight. I mean, there was 2 western countries in the top 5. I voted for Iceland. I had put money on Ukraine. But I think all along I knew Russia were going to win it.
I have followed Dima Bilan's career for a while now and he is HUGE in the east. Like Justin Timberlake popular. Actually, that song he won with was produced by Timberland. I have a few of his albums, and saw in perform in London in January, so you could call me a pretty big fan. Hopefully this win will make it easier for me to find his albums over here (at the moment its second-hand on amazon all the way).
Anyway, also wanted to add I was quite disappointed with Terry's commentary. I know I take it seriously, but I normally find him very funny. He seemed kinda disillusioned with it all. Oh and your right about his hints of retiring. Here's an old article from about a week before the contest if anyones interested; http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/11803
Haha, just remembered that even my signature is lyrics to an old Dima Bilan song. I'm such a fan-girl :/ Might as well add a picture while I'm at it.
<--- The guy in my avatar on the left is in a Russian boyband called Chelsi, and they've mentioned trying out for eurovision next year so here's hoping. We're also hoping Maxim Galkin will present it, he's really funny.
And just to be clear, I'm not Russian, and I dont even speak much Russian (other than what i've learnt in songs). I just seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Russian Celebrity's and Russian Reality TV :s
Pfft, Lativa didn't do as well as I'd hoped. Russia weren't too bad, it was just quite bland.
Terry Wogan has said a few times now I think about stopping. If Western Europe were to pull out, or if the UK, France, Germany and Spain were to stop practically funding it, then the whole thing would just fall apart. I know it's not very fair that we put so much money into it for us always to come last or near the bottom what with the inclusion of the Eastern Bloc, but quite frankly, we need to stop putting in such rubbish songs.
" my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never, never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you" you were carried out of are lifes into the next and when its my time to leave this life I know i will be carried into the next life with you.
I wish i had my world complete again.
