1 semester left before I graduate as an Registered Nurse aspiring to go and work in Mental Health.
Fingers crossed I can get into the Post-grad Mental Health Workforce!

Its a paid job thankfully! But we have to complete 2 papers towards our post grad diploma in the year we are contracted there for. And if we don't get one of these jobs we can't work at any DHB (like the NHS) hospital until the next round of post-grad jobs come around. No pressure or anything.

I am not an aspiring mental health worker anymore, however I am doing an MSc in Sport & Exercise Psychology, and one of my research interests is the psychological benefits of exercise on depression, anxiety, other mental health problems (and cancer, and all sorts of other things...!)

My experience is they're crying out for OTs in cmhts in my trust whereas there is a glut of nurses!!!
That said I mainly have contact with OTs!
