Ooh, grandparents are the worst for terrible compliments.
Last time I went to see my Grandma, I'd dyed my hair. She said "You've dyed your hair". And then when we went outside she said "Your hair doesn't look bad in this light".
Aaages ago, my Grandad said something along the lines of "That's a nice top. It makes you look like Che Guevara". I'm sorry, WHAT?
"You could be cute if you tried." - A guy I was dating. He always worded things wrong...
WTF I've been told I'm cute by strangers!
The context was that when I was in school, I dressed very casually b/c I went for art and got dirty all the time, and I didn't want to ruin good clothes. I dressed up one night when we went out and he told me that....Pffft. Needless to say, I kicked him to the curb.
This wasn't to me, but a friend said to another friend "you have the thighs of an elephant on heat, they're that strong!" Totally could have been worded better >.<
After I met some of my ex-boyfriends friends, he told me later on that his friends thought I had a really hot body, but wasn't that pretty. He then proceeded to tell me that his ex girlfriend said I was a fat cow.
Okay so yes, he didn't say that stuff. But why would you tell your girlfriend that anyways?! Honestly, that helped my self-esteem immensely lol.
'You don't need to lose weight, you're fine as you are. Women don't look good thin, anyway, you need a bit of weight about you.'
Thanks, Nana, for inadvertantly telling me I'm fat :P
haha my nan has said something like that to me before. And my Mum come to think of it.
Of course there is always the "...I like having something to grab on to!" (my boyfriend) that's always great to hear especially when he goes on to grab my love handles or bum

Your nan is right. Like I said earlier in the thread, give me a woman with some curves any day. I'm sick of super skinny chicks, I'm a big guy I don't want to feel like I'm going to break you.

Seconded, word for word.
& getting the bone is actually quite annoying in intimate situations
My boyfriend often accidently calls me fat all the time. He has an amazing skill at digging himself into a hole.
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
'You're like a marshmallow. You're all squidge-able and nommable and stuff.'
I have never before in my life been compared to a marshmallow, I'm not sure how to feel :P
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I guess this wasn't as bad as it was weird, but back when I shaved my head the first time, a friend of a friend (who I didn't know very well) grabbed me by the head and goes, "Wow... you have a really well formed cranium."
God is the only one who sees me as beautiful now, and the eyes of God are the only eyes I care about...

I got this the other day from some chick who doesn't know me at all, but knows how to piss me off "you're rail thin but you have a HUGE ass"
yeah thanks.....
that prompted "what ass? you don't have an ass, it's a straight line all the way down"
from my ex...^that one actually made me feel better beleive it or not..my butt is one thing I hate about my body
“Because everything that goes around comes around. Maybe it's luck or maybe it's fate, but either way, it comes back around."
