Okay, I'm going to try to make a small amount of sense, but my post will probably just get lost in a ramble of nonsense; which appears to be quite common.

1) - Numbers; are a no no. Very pleased they are not coming back. As much as I wouldn't admit it at the time, I used the numbers of the ED board to trigger myself constantly. It wasn't because I was 'sick' or 'psycho', I was poorly, and I didn't realise what I was doing! I was sucked in, and that was one of my 'behaviours' that were unhealthy. I think there are a lot of people like that who use numbers to trigger themselves, some people who can see what they are doing, and some people who can't and are in complete denial. So, I was very pleased that numbers were deleted, and I don't think they should be allowed to R&V either.

As for the terms 'Ana' and 'Mia', even reading through this thread my head started to tick. They are beyond triggering; it's very 'pro'. It's usually used by people who are in the depths of their Eating Disorder, and used less and less whilst coming through the recovery process. I don't think it should be brought back, and I'm pleased they are no longer allowed to be used. You are suffering from Anorexia, or Bullimia, it is not your friend, it is not a someone, it's a disorder, it's a killer. There is nothing nice, or friendly about it. You wouldn't give a little nick name to a murderer, and this isn't any different.

The trigger labels do confuse me. What I find very, very triggering is probably very different to what the poster above me finds very, very triggering. However, I'm not sure what the answer would be. Posts are always going to trigger someone, because everyone is different and everyone has different reasons for their ED. I'm not sure whether that makes sense.
I think the only way to make the labels easier to understand, would be to make them really obvious; but I don't even know how that would work.

I can reply to posts on the ED board; I don't find it easy to post for myself unless things are extremely awful. If I'm struggling, restricting, feeling like there is no hope - I can post. If I'm having a minor wobble, but doing ok - I can't. Being 'in recovery' means I don't feel able to post because I feel the board is more geared towards people who are still poorly. I know I'll probably get shot down for that though. People who are completely consumed by their Eating Disorder have different needs than those who are in recovery - that is all.

Urm. Yes, I shall shut up and build myself a brick wall so I won't get rotten things thrown at me! x

Oops yep that was it and I agree with the decision. :)

The Mole was bewitched, entranced, fascinated. By the side of the river he trotted as one trots, when very small, by the side of a man who holds one spell-bound by exciting stories; and when tired at last, he sat on the bank, while the river still chattered on to him, a babbling procession of the best stories in the world, sent from the heart of the earth to be told at last to the insatiable sea.

I perosnally wouldn't feel comfortable if numbers came back, because I know my eating disorder is competitive, and I come to ryl for recovery, not to be triggered. I can understand that triggers are unavoidable, but numbers aren't necessary to give/receive adequate support and so whats the point in bringing them back? Its better to make people feel safer surely? I also think that the ill side of me wants numbers back, and if i'm brutally honest with myself, I don't want them back for exactly that reason...because it isn't recovery orientated.
With the split level of trigger labels..i find it really confusing...cause where do you draw the line? I never know how to label my posts so I err on the side of caution and then feel that I'm getting less support because of it. I can't actually think of a better system though, so I'll butt out.
Just my two cents! Though probably stuff thats already been mentioned.

Find the board clique-y?
Not overly so. I mean every board has regular members who will mostly stay on one board and chat to each other, but lots of ED boarders post in other places too. Obviously if you're going through the same thing as somebody else you're going to identify with them and possibly form a close relationship. I know in places like The Queendom everyone knows each other's names but everybody is welcome, ED or not.

Feeling unwelcome?
I've never felt unwelcome. Although sometimes I get paranoid and think "Oh, they must be fed up of me posting so many threads!" But I've always been reassured that it's ok.

Not getting the support you want and need?
I always get the support I need.

Trigger labels confusing?

Yes, and I think they should be changed. What's mildly triggering to someone might be severely triggering to someone else. I often find it hard to decide which one to use so mostly go for severely just to be on the safe side.

Are you being (accidently) triggered by threads?
Sometimes, but I don't think it can be helped.

Anything other issues you want to raise?
Nope =) *throws petals*

ok I don't post too much in the ED forum BUT

- I'm always in doubt what to put and whether its to the rules.
(yes I have read the rules and still don't make sense)

- The labels do confuse me over mildly triggering and serverly So maybe just a triggering label or a behaviour label (such as purging) (Anorexia trigger)

-R&V Should be relaxed alot when it comes to the ED side of things. I think ana and mia should possibly be back in the R&V section.

-Numbers I'm in two minds about no no in ED boards but R&V it maybe should be in there as R&V is where we express ourselves and NO ONE should take our expression away and make us feel as if were restricted to what we want to say in R&V.

I do thinking reading through this thread that Liv (radiohead) does have a valid point with things.

I dont know if i find it cliquey because I am not in it very often. I assume its like any of the other boards where certain people are in it all the time giving and receiving support, just like the si board.

i have posted a few times looking for support and i always get it, the people there are welcoming and try to help me even if they dont know me.

yes i think the trigger labels are confusing. triggering is triggering? who can judge HOW triggering something is? i dont know, maybe i just dont get it. there isnt a very triggering and mildly triggering SI label? and i dont think there should be. triggering should account for all types\severities of triggers.

yes i get accidently triggered by threads sometimes, but it happens in all boards, i dont think that can be helped when we are talking about a self harm site

and thats all my anwsers lol

Weirdly, unlike A&S, I feel bad about posting sometimes because there are so many *positive recovery posts* which make me feel like a complete failure because I'm doing badly and am still ill. I don't want to post because unlike (what to me feels like) most other people I can't actually say anything positive.

I think that's just me though.
