I saw the Dark Knight opening scene a couple months before the film released and thought it looked stunning, I didn't know who was playing the joker and immediately looked it up after i'd watched the film i'd seen in the cinema (El Orfanato). I found out it was Ledger and that he'd died and really felt for him as I thought his performance in that film is phenomenal, the charisma he brings to it is ridiculous. I haven't watched Brokeback yet but I know that will be fantastic too. So without knowing terribly much about his career, I certainly appreciate what a great artist he was and having watched countless interviews on that particular role, really loved the depths he hit for that character.
