I see your point, they need to create some new monsters/villains with some originality and different causes :-P

That episode was absolutely fantastic, god I just loved it. The scene where Donna sparks the hand to grow another doctor was hilarious :D
And thne when she started talking all Doctor-esque was pretty funny too. But dammit I cried and cried when she started to 'break' and she was all "Don#t send me back! Please!" It was so sad.
She's definitely my favourite companion, and she won't even remember any of it, and will never know how awesome she is and will probably remain a temp the rest of her life :(

I'd love it in the next series if something was going on, on Earth and the Doctor bumped into her, that'd be pretty cool.

The whole Rose with a new Doctor thing, I don't really think it feels right, if anyone saw Confidential Billie Piper said she didn't entirely think it was right she go off with a new Doctor because it's like, her Doctor, and I agree with her. I mean, he committed genocide, the bastard.

I LOVED Davros showing the Doctor his own soul. And instead of focusing on the good The Doctor brings, it shows the death and destruction that follows him, just brilliant.

I don't mind them bringing back old villians too much I just wish they'd let the Cyberman die. They've brought them back so freaking much it's driving me mad. That and the Daleks, just let them die. Create new epic monsters for The Doctor to fear, y'know?

im soo happy the way everyone will miss donna because everyone was pretty against her at the beginning and now she's just a hero!!! love it. i think most of all im gunna miss her and david bouncing off each other both in a comical and serious sense cuz i dont think you get that connection with any of the other companions! when david was talking like donna was possibly the funniest thing EVER.

i agree with the whole 'rose and the new doctor doesnt feel right' thing, but now the real doctor is gunna be a lot deeper and darker because of the heartbreak of it. and im glad that somewhere in my mind i can imagine rose and doctor together forever!

oh and i can i just say that david's preformance the whole way through the episode was INCREDIBLE!!! He's sooo great and he understand exactly what the doctor is about! i love him simple for that.

It was just something that caught my attention and I was too psyched about the cliffhanger to bring it up.

Mr Copper was the old dude the Doctor saved in Voyage of the Damned who realised he had a lot of money on his credit card after the doctor took him to Earth so he could live his life there.

Also Mickey and Martha fill the positions of Tosh (Tech) and Owen (Medic) as well of course you know Martha's a doctor and Mickey was the technical support as he was always hacking into computers and stuff.

Ta, . I'd forgotten about him.

So it looks like Mr Copper has been doing something other than keeping a quiet life.
Who knows, he probably had the cottage next door to Harriot. He did want a cottage of his own.

I had to RUSH like nothing normal to get home last night to see it, and i watched it again tonight and cried at the end bit with donna and then just that look on the doctors face at the very end, its just so sad and lonely - it evoked such emotion in me.
GREAT last two episodes though!

a lot of people didnt like the idea of cathrine tate playing the assistant at the start of the series, but she did turn out to be great, and will be missed.

Also no one knows at this stage if david tennant will come back to be the doctor, hes only signed up to do the specials, and hasnt actully signed on to doa 5th sereis.

Wow I just watched the episode! Loved it! Poor doctor !

And for the christmas special, the trailer makes me think that the cybermen will be in it, but not in the "let's destroy the world" way. More like kind of a link to them or something (of that makes any sense). Because when you see the trailer they seem to be in a film or something...
But this theory could also be because I am a tired wreck from 4 days of festival and am not making any sense at all :)

I agree Sarah, and I do think (and hope) that there is going to be something different about this Christmas as opposed to just another Cyberman attack.

I re-watched the finale and read the news this morning that some people hated the the end- Click.

I thought the end was heartbreaking, a far sadder situation than the end of series two knowing she had changed so much and discovered so much about herself and become so important and had such inventions...to lose it all and go back to an existence where she will probably never amount to anything.
The Rose/fake doctor was uncomfortable and not quite right, it felt wrong...and that's what was so good about it she didn't know if it was right either. I loved Donna, I hope the next companion is something a bit different again.

Dr Amy Winehouse?

(Tuesday July 08, 2008 10:42 AM)
Amy Winehouse has been backed as the next Dr Who by the writer behind the hit sci-fi series.

Executive producer Russell T Davies says he believes the time could be right for a female lead in the show.

He thinks Winehouse would make "a brilliant doctor", despite her troubled private life and lack of acting experience.

Davies also suggests there would be no issue for children if the main role, currently played by David Tennant, was given to a woman.

But he admitted their fathers might be more thrown by the move. "They will imagine they'll have to describe sex changes to their kids.

"I think fathers can describe sex changes to their children and I think they should. It's part of the world", he said.

I could understand a female taking the role of the doctor (that'd be very interesting)... but Amy Winehouse??? why?? just why?!
