That was in the Dominican Republic... I was over there with my youth group for a missions trip. I met them at one of the villages we went to. After getting so close to them I really didn't want to leave :)

well... according to the church, anything besides the belief in God and Jesus is "wrong". That doesn't mean any other religion in particular, just if you believe in anything else... well... let's just say you're not going to Heaven

I would word it as "any sin bars you from heaven, but if you accept jesus christ as your saviour he will take the sin from you and forgive you, hence enabling you to get into heaven" it isnt so much punishment for not being christian, it is a reward for being christian.

I don't know. might just have been the same colur as it's background that fooled my eyes. I thought i had lost a presintation aide my dad had brought from kora, then about 30 seconds looked back at the same pocket i had looked in one and it was there.
So `lonely_hope`you don't agree with the chritians that say that as long as you live a good life you can get into heaven even if your not a christian?

I don't necessairly think you can get into Heaven through living a good life. I think that's a component of getting there, but I don't think it's everything. I believe that if a person accepts Christ died for our sins, and try to live like Jesus did, you can get to Heaven.
Like, if somebody is the nicest person in the world, but doesn't believe in Jesus- they don't go to Heaven
Or if someone says they're Christian, but is doing immoral things- same goes for them
This might sound weird, but, I also think that somebody could be a hardened criminal who has done unspeakable things can go to Heaven by turning his/her life around and accepting Christ
