Yea, it can go well. I don't think it helped that the hospital was suffering because of a massive baby boom!
Oh, and they gave me the wrong pessary when they restarted the induction on the Saturday night because they administered the medication without reading my notes, which meant I had to go thorough an examination without Andrew there to hold my hand :( luckily they realised quickly enough that they could remove it
I am sorry you have such a bad experience GirlInterrupted. Having a bad day with my depression today and my little girls birthday cannot come quick enough Past four days n nights iv had on and off stomach cramps and back ache. Its stopping me sleeping which makes my mood even worse.
We have an appointment in an hour with out of hours at a local a&be for Aurora :( since her jabs she has been puking more and their was a tiny bit of blood in her last nappy. I'm shitting myself that she isn't okay :( I'm terrified of anything happening to her and her not being okay
I hope it goes okay at the hospital. Blood in nappies is common so try not panic and it is a big massive sign towards allergies of some form particuarly when accompanied by all the other symptoms you have described. Also if it was eggs that bother her a lot of babies with egg allergies react to jabs.
You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
She is fine, her last bowel movement was so firm it tore her slightly, all her vitals checked out okay.
Im so relieved its unreal. Today has been one of the worst days ever :(
Its such a panic when you need to take them into A&E outpatients. We had Faith in earlier in the year because she was screaming the place down complaining for sore ears. Tried calpol and it didn't help. Ended up she had a chest infection and a build up of wax in her ears...Her ears are mega waxy!
Yea, it was a panic, I was getting annoyed at slow drivers and everything even though we were early. We took her up to Peterhead and the doctor was lovely.
We are going to put Vaseline on her as a barrier cream tonight, and buy bepanthen tomorrow. We have been advised to give her cooled boiled water between feeds as well, to try and loosen her bowels a little. Hopefully she won't protest too much
Hi, I'm new here, I think I may be pregnant but not completely sure at the moment. So scared. So yeah this is me, Hi *waves*
Hush, little baby, drink your spoiled milk
I'm crazy, need my prescription filled
Do you like my cookies? They're made just for you
A little bit of sugar, but lots of poison, too
I thought I may be pregnant - did two tests as I was 3 days over! But then I came on last Friday :(
Having SO MUCH FUN with my little boy, I want to make a little scrapbook of memories of all the craft things we're doing and making. Pinterest is so good for inspiration!
Planning a camping holiday next year to the lake district - he'll be 2 1/2, me, my husband, my mum and her partner - can't wait!
Strange that you had to take her to Peterhead cause the out of hours clinic that we had to go to with Faith was at the Children's A&E in Aberdeen. My friend who lives near Peterhead had to take her daughter to Aberdeen (albeit this was during the day) because she became allergic to ibuprofen and was throwing up black blood.
We phoned nhs24 to get the appointment and I think we would have had to wait an extra hour for an appointment in Aberdeen and also Peterhead is a shorter drive I think.
She is doing better today, but refusing to drink water so a health visitor advised adding a little bit of freshly squeezed orange juice to the water to see if that makes a difference. I'm just waiting for a getting home with oranges.
Poppy was really constipated the other week and didn't poo for 13 days! We fed her prunes and it worked really well. We tried orange and water first but it didn't have much effect so maybe if that doesn't work you could try prune juice? Be warned though you may need to be prepared with towels!
You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
You can use half a teaspoon of brown sugar in boiled water for constipation as well.
Inducing everyone at 41 weeks routinely, what on earth is the world coming to. I really don't understand how clinicians can get away with such malpractice - putting non-evidence based policies in place simply for their own convenience and putting mothers and babies at risk of failed inductions, complications, fetal distress, unnecessary Caesareans, more painful labour, completely taking away their ownership of their own bodies and babies, and undermining any confidence in their ability to carry and birth their babies.
Even as the stone of the fruit must break
that its heart may stand in the sun,
so must you know pain.
There are only two ways in which one can live their life. One is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is.
We got 3 dirty nappies today without the oj and water. But I get the feeling she is going to be unsettled tonight :( she normally sleeps right through, but she is awake already tonight less than 2 hours after going down. She must know I need energy tomorrow morning since I am watching a friends kids for her tomorrow and have to be across the road at her house for 9.30
effervesence - the NHS isn't just bringing itself more trouble and expense for fun. The placenta declines after 42 weeks, starving the baby of oxygen and nutrients.
Before "these clinicians" mothers and babies DIED.
I have a sweep today! I'm 40+2 and the plan after this if its unfavourable is to book in for section but I'm going to request another sweep on Friday and/ or next Tuesday (to be honest I don't believe a sweep will work and I hate them but would be good progress report for me). Then next Tuesday I will either agree to be booked in for possible induction or if not a section. We shall see! I'm dreading it but know its a necessary evil.
