I dont think its fair to say that it would be better if the mods spent more time online and replied to more threads as well as giving support. If you add up all the hours each mod spends online im confident that it adds up to quite alot of hours, i personally dont think its fair to say that the mods dont spend enough time online.
As i said before you cannot have everything most of the mods work, or go to uni/school. I think the mods are very active and i also feel they are online as much as possible. Mods have a life of there own. I understand that people have said they feel more mods are needed, but why do you think this? How many mods do you feel are needed? Being a moderator is a very thankless job as is supporting around the forum. The reason i havent given my opinion on having more mods is because i havent made my mind up whether more mods are needed.
it is a big workload,it always will be because theres always issues to sort out.But were alright at the moment as far as im concerned,were not struggling to get things done or anything. We are around on the boards, I dont understand how people can say theyve never seen a mod in F&D because ive seen mods post there before, I post there too!No you dont see it as much because there are what 7000 members and 12 mods, so of course the ratio of mods to members posts will be very different.

The more i hear the mods who have posted on this thread say that they are ok and that they are not struggling, the more i feel that more mods are not needed right now. Maybe in the near future yes but not right now. If the mods who have posted say more mods are not needed then more mods are not needed.
We are not mods we dont know what goes on behind the scenes and therefore we must trust the mods when they say that more mods are not needed and that has made my mind up that more mods are not needed only the mods know whether more mods are needed not us. Everyone is allowed their opinion but no i do not think more mods are needed.
i think, at the end of the day, if you trust the mods and/or value their opinion, as you know, they are mods & know what they're doing, that if they think there are presently enough mods, then we should respect their judgment & leave it be. if the mods saw that they needed new/more mods then i think they'd be the first to know. only they can see the full picture if you get me?
Irene, I was thinking the exact same thing about people only going on about it because they think they should be modded.
At the end of the day, who becomes moderators is not our decision, nor should it be as it would turn into a popularity contest. If the moderators feel they can cope then so be it, let them, maybe they cant cope as you are all saying, but the fact is, until they find a suitable person for the job, no one is going to become a moderator. And right now, as Irene also said, I dont know of anyone who would be suitable for the job. So leave it, move on, have a cookie and some milk and just chilllllll

Cant say I've thought about the number of mods, I dont see a problem unless they do. And I can see that people could be pissed at not being modded, but I personally am f*cking grateful mods are so carefully picked. I want them to be right for the job,, and because I feel they are carefully selected I have more trust in them.

There is an old saying that holds "if you love something don't get too close to it". Being a mod or even a forum owner is not like being a member since once a person crosses the line into admin their priorities change and they owe focus and allegiance to the admin side of the site and not their mates etc. If someone was really eager to be a mod I would suspect they didn't really know what they were getting into lol.

Jess I dont understand why you think that you are being attacked by anyone,i know that this thread has turned into something that you didnt want it to, but some of whats been said is important,so please dont delete it. But no one has attacked you at all jess and id hate to think of you thinking otherwise.

by people saying someones making an issue cause they haven't been modded. since i started the thread and 'made the issue' kinda feels like it's directed at me.
