Adding abbreviations to forum names

Just a little thing but if we are going to put abbreviations up can we have First Aid Advice as FAF (First Aid Forum) purely so it doesn't get confused with FAA already being First Aid Advisor.

I personally prefer option 2 as it is what is generally accepted for abbreviating things (at least in English).

I have also seen lots of people abbreviate and others not knowing what it means. If you want to abbreviate differently or not at all then that is fine but if we had the most common abreviation on the name it may help users to navigate round easier.

I don't like any of them.

It would make more sense to me to have them as a sticky in introductions or to have them as one of those things you have to read before you sign up.

And maybe make a fuss about where it is on the homepage....

....or send a PM to everyone with it in, and then put it as one of those automatic PM's you get when you first register, that way everybody will read it.

I think a thread full of abbreviations is more than adequate. And ok when you first join RYL there are some things you have to figure out, but it isn't hard to find that information at all. It just seems a bit patronising to assume member's would get so confused over acronyms and then to assume they wouldn't have the gumption to look for a thread/sticky/article with the information in.
